We booked ourselves in Samburu Sopa after our pleasant stay in the Mara Sopa few months ago.Unfortunately this lodge did not measure up to our expectations. The initial booking was too slow. We wrote several mails requesting for confirmation of our booking but the person on that side was simply too slow to respond. On arrival at the lodge the 'feel'...

Hadn't visited Samburu before, but it had been recommended by my driver on my last safari, who we had again this time - he was right, it was terrific and we saw absolutely everything, including the most extraordinary view of a leopard, who was posing on a naked branch in full view. The species unique to the park are fascinating;...

Meet and greet very good, room spacious, with a view of wildlife, was able to see dik dik, impala, baboons and other animals. Dining was very good, staff very friendly, we had a good view and were able to see wildlife and birds. Large area that you could have a drink and talk to other guests, good size swimming pool.

Lodge is beautiful bearing in mind it is in the middle of nowhere. Team very supportive especially with a 8month baby . Could do more on meals and kids activities. If you are looking for a bush feel... try sopa.

One of my best parks. landscape, game and many more. The Service was very good. Love their BBQ. Cooked in the plain like area. Also nice bar area to relax after a hard days Safari. There is a nearby water hole which attracts animals in the Night, provided by the hotel

I found everything perfect. The rooms are very nice decorated and spacious, with wonderful views and comfty beds. Hot shower. The staff is really nice. Excellent food (also vegetarian options) Nice swimming pool Electricity turns off at 23.00 and re-starts early in the morning, around 5 or 6.

We get room 11 in a double cottage with a thatched roof. So far it looks good: the cottages are like brown mushrooms, quite a nice design, and they definitely don't spoil the view as they are rather unobtrusive. Two big queen beds with mosquito nets but no repellents and the bathroom is dirty. Wi-fi is supposed to be good...

Spent two nights here and it was lovely. So peaceful and quiet and the staff were just fantastic. The restaurant manager Caesar was so attentive and always had a smile on his face. The hotel is well placed in the middle of the park so the fame drives are always nice. One of our favourite experiences there was when a...

Average. Some good sites to see while eating in the dinning room. Have not really been that keen on most of the sopa lodges. The power only on certain times of the day and wi-fi only in lobby. It's a little disappointing.

I just loved the Samburu Sopa Lodge! Samburu is one of my favourite places in the world - the park is exploding with wildlife and there is always something new to see! The Sopa Lodge was SOOO comfortble, the people are extremely kind and love their wildlife. Take your time and speak with some of the security guards and other...
