I believe that this hotel is a bit old fashion. Hotel decoration is so classic from the car park lift to the check-in counter. The design is similar to any business hotel in the 80~90s. However, the room is newly furnished and it is comfortable to stay.

Excellent Customer Service!!! Booked Grand Paragon for a weekend getaway. I earlier book a room and found out during check in that existing category does not have a bath tub. I upgraded as Bath tub is always a must for my de-stress routine. Went to the room and found out that the bath tub has defects. They arranged for maintenance but since it is late night and I already want to rest, I have asked reception to just move me to another room. Very surprised that the Manager gave me a suite room. I asked that they charge me, but the manager insisted not (probably because of the hassle from my side). Not expecting the upgrade but it made me real happy. Thank you! P.S. it is not my first time in this Hotel. But the customer service is worth noting.

The front duty manager, a lady push the things aways! Not helpful and non service minded. Don’t know why the hotel needs her to work as a manager and work in this hotel. Looks like she is the boss of the hotel management! No more staying there in future! Forget this hotel!

Agoda never paid the Malaysia tourism tax to hotel after collecting from customer. Was issued a agoda malsysia tourism tax 10 MYR receipt clearing indicating it was paid. During checking in, hotel staff claimed AGODA NEVER PAID TO HOTEL. End up was asked to PAY again to hotel and hotel issue a hotel receipt. SO WHY DO I NEED TO PAY TWICE MALAYSIA TOURISM? IF AGODA COLLECTED THE MONEY AND NEVER PAY TO HOTEL. IT IS CONSIDER A SCAM. MAKING GUEST PAID TIWCE??

This place has many flickering lights in the rooms ,stuff like air con is dripping and other things do not work. They even said to buy water bottles from the “cafe ” when asked. Next, the food was very bad. Every time I ate it, I has a bad stomach ache. The windows were very dirty and the television did not pick up the channels well. Either at a low resolution, showing lines which makes it hard to see, no audio or saying no signal. The TV also gives very bad resolution when plugging in HDMI or gives very washed out (weak) colours

Got 2 connecting room (twin deluxe) for room 2005 and 2006. Room 2005 does not work. Room allow 2 kids under 12 stay for free but breakfast chargeable for about 5/6 years (forgot the cutoff age). Room 2005 aircon was not working even after technical came so room 2005 was chang to room 2016. The view from 2005 and 2006 was nice. Since each room was 2 adults and 2 kids, they only allow up to 3rd person towel/hand towel, no 4th towel, but can exchange. Mineral water is 3 RM per bottle for the 3rd bottle onwards. Can see efforts was placed to maintain cleanliness. But as the hotel aged, they are some wear and tear, can see from photo. Also the window look dusty and sticky outside. One of the bedsheet in room 2006 got shoe foot print stain, bedsheet was changed upon request. Ask for room cleaning in the morning. Came back evening, nothing was done. However after a call, hotel staff came with all their items replenished(towel, bottle water, toilet roll etc. I suspected maybe hotel staff communication issue. All different nationality from locals to nepali staff. There is tourist tax 10 RM per night per room understandable.

I stayed here for work purposes. There was some hassle during my check-in pertaining to my room that was not inclusive of breakfast. The receptionist that was attending to me was very helpful and accomodating in trying to sort out the issue however when he required somre assistance for approval and confirmation his Duty Manager Mr. Rois i suppose FORGOT the basics of being at the front desk which is to greet your guest warmly with a SMILE. Aside from neglecting that he was not helpful at all and just dismissed the situation entirely that made me feel that im not wanted as a guest in the hotel. Advise for management, FRONT DESK is the heart of any hotel. GREET WITH A SMILE.

Overall, its recommended. The location is just a few minutes walk from KSL. The room is value for money as its relatively big, with a bathtub for S$60/night on a weekend. Nowhere near the atas type though but u get what u pay for. Pool is smaller than it looks. Views from room are great.

5mins drive away from JB customs. Fuss free and quick check in. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room (deluxe twin room) was clean and decent size. Room was dark and seemed to need more lighting. Water pressure for toilet bowl and shower head were insufficient. Could do something about it. Ample parking spaces. Seems safe. Need to validate parking ticket everytime leaving hotel. Overall, decent hotel stay for a last minute weekend booking at around $70 sgd.
