Went here with a group of friends. Staff was kind enough to upgrade our rooms. Prata house nearby with soccer channels. Free orange juice at lobby area. Toilet was a bit small. Good view of city. Very nice.

The Bliss Hotel continues to surprise! All of the staff are the nicest I've experienced at any hotel anywhere and has the cleanest rooms anywhere! They have so many services and are so kind with questions and how to support. It is only a five minute drive to the Singapore border! Don't miss the great breakfast buffet, and be completely remodeled restaurant, lobby, and rooms are sure to please everyone... do pay the small amount extra, for the room #388 which is the executive suite. It's so cheap, but is over the top five star accommodations. And it is very fun to walk the very safe neighborhoods ... To visit the several malls in the area, or to try the French restaurant a few doors up, or to go anywhere at any hour. I have stayed here many times, and continue to find new shops, including my favorite haircutting place! Don't miss a chance to stay at the nicest hotel in southeast Asia! A+!

It was another impromptus trip. And having stay here for the past 3 visit, we did not even hesitate to book for bliss boutique hotel again.

There had been some minor changes to the front counter, however the service is even better than the last visit. We are even provided with hot towel for freshening up upon check in.

On the second day, after returning from our shopping trip, we were upgraded to the complimentary family room due to some minor issue. The manager even follow up to our new room helping to carry our stuff. We really appreciate that. Thank you and thumbs up. Certainly looking forward to stay here again.

This review has been a long time coming, and for that, to the staff and management of Bliss Boutique hotel, I do apologise.

I apologise because of this, ...we simply had the most wonderful time at Bliss and I wish I could have written this review much much sooner. Alas, schedules simply got in the way.

Our trip to Bliss was in November 2013. I planned a short getaway for my girlfriend's birthday. After reading the reviews here, I decided to give Bliss a try. I had one special request tho, and that was to be able to surprise my girlfriend by cooking breakfast for her at the breakfast lounge.

Ms Rani from Bliss called to clarify my (what must have been strange) request and was so very helpful in arranging for it to happen. Each step was coordinated to a tee so that my partner would be totally unaware of the surprise.

At check-in, we were greeted with genuine smiles. That was especially nice after a long trip down from KL.

We checked into our suite and were more than pleasantly surprised by the space and layout of it. Sat upon a white platform, was a grand king-sized bed - it was comfortable, so very comfortable. Directly behind the bed, separated by a feature wall was the humungous "wet" area which consisted of twin sinks, a standalone bathtub, bathroom with a rain shower to the right of the room and the loo to the left.

There were some really nice touches which showed that thought and care went into dressing the room. Tea lights placed in deep red holders were placed next to the bathtub for that little extra ambience if needed. The coffee maker (was it a Nespresso?) provided us with excellent java through our short stay. There was a recliner close to the bath, looking out the window you could just see the world, in this case, traffic on Jalan Tebrau, go by and a massage chair in the room as well - unfortunately tho, the neck rest was a little stained so we chose not to use it.

Ms Rani took personal attention to helping me organise the surprise after we checked-in as well. She was lovely enough to organise for rose petals and aromatherapy oils for my girlfriend to have a good soak in the bathtub - which she thoroughly enjoyed, while I caught up with world news on TV - i wish that there was football channels though, which would have made it perfect for me.

The next morning, after a quick pop over to Cold Storage about a 4-5 minute walk away for breakfast supplies, i brought my girlfriend down to the wine bar where breakfast was served where she was blown away by the surprise. That couldn't have been pulled off without the kindness and attention of both management and staff. There were a couple of hiccups along they way, but these were expertly outmanoeuvred by the staff to make things happen. Kudos to each and every one of you (should you read this)!

That said, I won't be able to provide a review of breakfast provided by Bliss, I'm afraid.

After two nights in the suite, we checked into another room for half a day while we waited for flights. It was smaller, but cosy, and I'd imagine having a good night's rest there.

There's plenty of good food in the vicinity, from good local fare to quality international cuisine, all within walking distance as well.

All in all, I'd definitely recommend Bliss Boutique. Our stay was made memorable by the sheer professionalism and genuine attention by Ms Rani and her staff as well as the lovely rooms and comfortable beds. I'm definitely coming back ....as a matter of fact, I'm checking in again tomorrow! :)

Stayed here for a couple of nights with the family whilst visiting Legoland in Johor Bahru, and Universal Studios in Singapore. Cosy hotel, excellent for the price. Stayed in a family room - two queen sized beds. Room was clean, had a flat screen TV with limited channels, and some basic tea and coffee facilities - but then what else do you need.

Breakfast was buffet style with a nice spread of food to fill up on, mixture of cold and hot dishes. There is limited food available in the hotel after breakfast - the breakfast room is actually a wine bar at night. There is some food available via room service, but there are also a lot of restaurants in the surrounding area - we ate in the French Restaurant (Chez Papa French Bistro), about 30m up the rod to the left as you exit the hotel - excellent food.

Outside the hotel looks pretty rough, and car parking is on the street, but had no issues - they put a parking coupon on your car to cover the costs.

The hotel itself is about a 5 to 10 minute drive to the Causeway between Malaysia and Singapore - a pretty direct drive, so a good staging point if you want to stay in Malaysia and visit Singapore.

Would definitely stay here again if I was doing the same sort of trip.

Bliss Boutique Hotel JB exceeds all of our expectations! A truly blissful experience like no other. Bliss has become our mainstay whenever we want a quick getaway from the hustle bustle life in Singapore. This hotel though small-ish from the outside is actually very spacious and the amenities are generously provided. The decor which we love so much is refreshing and modern. The very minute you walk into the hotel, you will be engulfed in sweet smelling air and ambience that is so so cozy. The breakfast spread is always so delicious and one can tell that all of the food served are lovingly made and presented. Rani Wongvilai and her team of staff are out of this world...their attentiveness to every single wimps and fancies of a guest is truly remarkable...and they always serve with a smile.

Our many trips to jb always starts and ends at Bliss Boutique Hotel. This is a gem of a hotel. It would not be far-fetch for us to say that Bliss is even better than some of the top ranking hotels in JB and Singapore. KL's hospitality premises should take a feather or two from Bliss's fancy hat and learn how this wonderful premise functions.

Kudos to all at Bliss!

Shah & Imran

This boutique hotel is really cutting the word " boutique" very thinly. I think the nicest looking or boutique looking like items are just in the lounge. So the first impression is good. But once you step into the rooms( Designer Queen) and paid SGD$60 for it, you will realize that its a very low rated "boutique" hotel. Some simple painting on the wall and a basic bed. Ok for me as far. Then when I pop in the bath, I see grey towels, not crisp, not white, grey and old towels I see. Then the water heater would scream when you switch it on as if telling everyone in the building that you are taking a shower. There is no shower curtain so you get a wet toilet seat which is right beside it. Seriously, no one even thought of such basic changes to the bath room when you decide to label it "boutique"? Maybe boutique does not equate to common sense.

The TV has crappy reception. Half the time my eyes are jumping with the screen. After a while, you are better off looking at your smart phone.

The only redeeming thing is the breakfast. At least someone knows what presentation is and the breakfast is a simple affair but I will give its cleanliness , simple setting for a 8/10. Coffee sucks but its ok, I can get one at the nearby Pelangi Mall.

Location wise, its great, near to mall and close to the causeway back to Singapore but beware that it is right beside some real cheap hotels that are obviously serving the red blooded crowd. So watch out when you walk around in the late evenings, you may want to stay in the room and not be mistaken as a walking sxx toy.

Just staying over a night with my family. Been to this boutique hotel for few times already. Walking distance to food places and shopping mall. By the road side with easy access to anywhere in JB.

Walk-in rate is the same as booked online. Very helpful staff, esp, Mr. J.Co, who is from Cheras, KL too... Very fast and efficient check in.

Room are pretty decent. Without window but who cares when we just hop in for a night.

Breakfast if great. Lotsa choice for a Boutique Hotel.

Will definitively come back to this one whenever i in JB town.
