It was a short getawat after a busy year end. Stayed at Perling House. Not exactly a solo with the companied of wings, lizard and melodies from the nature :) Brought my TWC mint tea along, a cup of hot tea looing out the greens, delicious Minagkabau dinner. Walkabout the orchard. Immersed myself in the mother nature. Love the tranquility.

We stayed at Perling Bukit. The room was cozily fit for the 3 of us. Though I struggled with my sensitive nose for the first few minutes (the wall at the bed area was a bit dusty), I truly enjoyed my stay there. The young lady that greeted us was pleasantly nice and so does the staffs working there. Always... More

Many thanks for your review. It is always encouraging for us when guests appreciate the quiet pleasures of this lovely hillside. We will give the Perling walls a good scrub. Timber does need more care, but we prefer it all the same. More

On arrival we seemed to be too early for our hosts. The first question 'Was the gate open?' seemed a little rude. We were told that the 2 houses would be ready at 2p.m. Fair enough. When our small room 'Berembun' was ready we were shown round by the owner. We were a little surprised that the space was very... More

We are sorry that this guest was not happy with his stay, but we do appreciate the feedback explaining why. We apologise that the bathroom was not up to standard and the water heater was not working properly. But we have to say that these guests arrived 2 hours before check in and the room was not ready. We don't know what to expect when we arrive. The uphill drive along the meandering road is no easy feat but a good experience for irregular driver like me. Upon arrival at the parking lot. Before we headed to KL we wanted an escape from the city and this was the most perfect rainforest resort we chose. We stayed at Perling Bukit house. The terrace was spacious and we enjoyed the tropical sceneries, coffees, pure relaxation, great BBQ and house served meals which we totally loved. The house was all wood with a local touch... More

Thank you for your most appreciative and sensitive review. It is guests like you who make our design efforts worthwhile, and also our restraint in having few houses spread out for space and privacy. And you are right - most of our staff come from the nearby orang asli village. This is by policy, just as we stress Negri Sembilan... More

Thank you for your detailed and informative review. I think it will be very helpful for other guests and I support all your advice. Just a note on the lights. The Dusun is a small resort on a fruit orchard with views of the Berembun rainforest reserve. Set on a small hill, the Dusun rents out houses that are set apart from each other not only to offer peace and privacy, but also to catch the winds with traditional architecture and enjoy lovely views. Each house has a fully equipped kitchen for those who love to cook and a barbecue on an open deck for lingering dinners. Breakfast is provided while lunch and dinner can be catered if you prefer not to cook.We are just an hour south of Kuala Lumpur. KLIA or Kuala Lumpur International airport is in between us and Kuala Lumpur city so we're the perfect nature escape for those in transit who would prefer to give the city a miss. The Dusun honors sustainable practices in farming and building, which has created a beautiful and healthy environment. As the family enjoys a good relationship with the local community, the business only hires from the nearby kampungs and shops from small entrepreneurs or other interesting responsible businesses as much as possible.
