So we go to ipoh without booking our accommodation in advance. We were lucky that we found Ipoh city hotel through the front desk of another hotel. All hotels which have decent outlook and relatively good review are taken up mostly in this festive season. So we are fortunate that we met a nice front desk who helped us to...

I had checked in to this hotel 3 times and services were just average. The last trip was bitten by bed bug in room 1707. Didn't know it was bed bug that bitten me until the swell and itch didn't go away for a week. Reception staff were sully, esp. one that is grumpy and unhelpful. I wanted to write...

Superior twin bedroom was big enough for 2 adults, but we were greeted by smelly pillows and need to get drinking water from front desk :( The location was quite good for business traveller with some parking lots.

Excellent service rendered by the Indian and Chinese staff on 11 and 12 April 2015. We had informed way before we needed 2 taxis to go for a wedding at 4.30 PM. The bookings were informed to the morning staff. However till 4.15 PM we were still awaiting one taxi. When we approached the staff, one Malay receptionist said she...

Ipoh is a city I frequent for its food ~ especially the old town area. Thus, staying here is a wonderful choice as it has it's own parking space (not many actually) Double Room cost under RM 100 nett with breakfast at their own cafe 7am-10am. Yeah, some might say, ahh Dim Sum is the way to go in Ipoh...

“Chose a family room if your are in a group as they are even better value. Just a 5 minute taxi ride from the train station and close to all the local nightlife and restaurants. A food lovers delight. There are 2 options for breakfast although the staff may only mention the in house restaurant. They will give you a coupon for the restaurant along the street if you ask. Great value.”
