Good location, near to hawker stalls, decent parking spaces (for weekday trips), old world ambience but tired beds not quite helpful for a good night's rest, including the fact that the long corridor makes a great echo tunnel. In house restaurant serves decent Hainanese chicken rice (their signature dish).

We finally had the chance to have a look at this historic hotel. We used to live in Penang & have always been curious about this place. The hotel is basic but service was surprisingly good. We weren't expecting a lot really but were pleasantly impressed. We will definitely go back & recommend this hotel to other people.

We stayed here for 3 nights in end July 2016. Staff were very friendly and helpful and had good English. Well done on being so helpful and friendly. Hotel itself is in need of refurbishment. Very old building. Needs an upgrade. Rooms are spacious enough just tired. No safe in the rooms. Ask for room near pool if possible. Pool...

Very run-down building and noisy environment. Parking space is very limited. Plumbing and bathroom is very badly maintained. Furniture is very old and not comfortable. Swimming pool is very small and not a very good place to hangout. Breakfast is terrible.

I was looking for a comfortable budget hotel for my stay in Penang. To say that this place did not deliver it would be an understatement. Being located on the main market road is the only good thing I remember about this hotel. The staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. We had to wait 15 minutes to get a bellboy to...

Room is clean and comfortable. Location nearby eateries, food court within walking distance. Value for money. There shops nearby selling renowned local delicacies. Popular street foods like apam etc are easily accessible along the roadside where the hotel entrance is facing.

And we top that experience with warm, friendly service. The Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the historic city of Georgetown, founded in 1786 by Captain Francis Light. Listed as a UNESCO heritage city, Georgetown is a one of a kind melting pot of cultures, heritage, foods and festivals from diverse communities.1926 Heritage Hotel is all about bringing you the wholesome experience of the British colonial era and the spirit of Malaysian hospitality from the very moment you step into our lobby.
