It is on a good location, there are many coffes restaurants to choose around. Hotel has antique chinesse decorations as well as a koi pond which is kinda cool. Rooms are okey for a guesthouse. Guests are mainly europeans who are doing their visaruns from thailand.

When I opened the door i was shocked! The room don't have a bed but just a mattress on the floor, and the floor is only painted cement (no tiles). The room in the day is very noisy because is beside the parking, also the fridge is very noisy and still have inside the bottle already opened from the customer... More

A quick visit to Penang for a school reunion so I needed to be in central Georgetown within walking distance from everything; mainly glorious Penang food, transport - main taxi stand 5 min walking distance, riskshaws for local sightseeing and local bus services & not to mention shops. Hotel with heritage interior is quite nice for sleep. You get what you pay. Mosquitos loved to disturb the guests Breakfast is good Room lightning is quite dark Tourist area location, as you can walk some steps at night and will find many street bar and street food

Last April was my 2nd time to stay in banana hotel and it was great. Talking about the rooms; spacy, the beds are awesome, airconditioned works good. I was referred to KBV visa by a friend. They do visa runs to Penang and have a strategic alliance with Banana hotel. I was charged 11000 thb for their sevices. It was for a second time I was in this hotel. First time which was around 3 years ago everything was better and we were on the second floor. All rpund terrible hotel...Horrible "buffet" food...no tv reception (only 1 channel) spoke to staff said they would move me to another room....staff never came back...useless staff at hotel.useless internet..would not recommend this place to anybody
