Clean dorms, nice interior design, close to Heritage area, local food. Good location. Value for money, easy to get around and quiet and suitable for budget travellers !! Friendly warm reception, staffs is friendly and helpful. But it gets really noisy when people are walking past , we can hear them running up and down the stairs. Anyway, I think... More

Impressed by the "room service" where change new towel, bed will be done, and this is not a hotel, but hostel. Definitely will come back for my next visit to Penang. The breakfast was great too, not your typical hostel breakfast - bread and jam, but sausages, baked beans, eggs, toast, fried noodles, chee cheong fun. Nothing I could complain.

The floors are now covered with mat. And the breakfast provided is much satisfying! Thumbs up for ryokan muntri street. Highly recommended for backpackers!

Room is clean and comfortable. Staffs is friendly and helpful. However the wooden floor is a bit noisy where people walking outside, those in the room can heard it clearly. Although damping have been done but there are still room for improvement. I would prefer the previous style of preparation of breakfast where there was a lovely lady cook warm... More

You can pay a very cheap price to enjoy a very relaxing and artistic environment in Ryokan Muntri. The owner are so friendly and you can make friends with other roomates as well. The cleanliness is undeniably perfect. Try it out!! :)

Felt relax and truly liked this place...! Clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. You need to get used to the co ed toilet cum bathroom. It was closed to street art and my favourite steamboat place. Will certainly stay in this place in my next return.

Paid 45 renminbi per night 4 person dorm. Key deposit required. Price not far off a basic private hotel room. Nearby hostels 15-25 renminbi dorm room. Some air con, most not. I'd recommend it if on a budget but wanting good bathroom and clean rooms. Decor and rooms clean and modern. Felt a little sterile but was quiet. Apart from... More

Location is very strategic, with 5 minutes walking distance you can reach those famous local food, cafe, public transport, etc. I love their breakfast because they served roti canai, one of our famous local food in Malaysia....
