The only reason I chose this hotel is we didn't want to sleep in KK airport when we arrived midnight. It's only a 10 minute's easy walk from Terminal 2. Maybe the other reason choosing it is an early departure, because we saw a couple of Taiwanese were leaving when we arrive at 4 AM. It looks like a local... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Borneo BeacHouse. It was close to the beach and relaxing - just what we wanted. The bathrooms aren't the best, but we didn't seem to mind at all. We stayed in a room without AC, which was fine. It was surprisingly cool at night. The best thing about this hostel is (hands down) the... More

I expected this to be rough from other posters' reviews. I didn't know how rough though. The walls were falling down and leaking, the AC barely worked, the bathrooms were prison like and had no lights. When we checked in someone had urinated all over one of the bathrooms and it was not cleaned up until the next morning. The... More

Hi there, to start with: If you have a chance to stay anywhere else, while you are in KK, then do so. This place was a disappointment on the whole line. The good News is: The staff is really nice and friendly, and they try to help where they can. But the whole place is just completely run down. The... More

The Borneo Beachouse (why only one "h", I wonder) is actually two converted bungalows near the city beach in Kota Kinabalu. Its a bit outside of town but thats not a problem as there are taxis and buses running near by. The place is clean and well run with friendly staff. I have stayed there several times when I'm in... For a hostel, it's pretty good. We had a double room with air co, and we were very comfortable. The bathroom on our floor didn't work, so we had to use the one downstairs, but it was fine since the place was not busy. You pay extra if you want a blanket or extra towels, but this was never told... More

I first stepped into Borneo Beachouse years back and have been back there almost every single time i have been in KK (definately more than 30 times in the past 6 years and always for leisure). Of coz if you like the comforts and services of a 5star hotel with a bell boy to carry your bags for you and... More

So, very close to the airport which after a long plane ride is a good thing. We were greeted by some friendly guys, maybe a bit too friendly.... The accomodation was ok except we had paid for our own bathroom and the bath/shower didnt work which is a bit crap when you have been travelling for 2 days! The price... More

This place is only good if you want to walk from Terminal 2 (air asia terminal)... and are staying just one night in KK before flying out again. Otherwise stay elsewhere. Its still a long way from Terminal 1 so go elsewhere if that's where you land. The main staff at this place were two young guys and they seemed... More

“The Air-con Twin room in the 2nd building is nice and huge! It is also conveniently located just opposite the bathroom. Though i believe this room would not always be available due to it being very popular.”
