From 1st April - 5th of July, I went backpacking around the world with my parents and I was only 13. Our first official stop was Kota Kinabalu, Borneo. The first hotel I stayed in and my first ever backpackers was Bunibon. We made the right choice. The Wi-Fi was faster than a Lamborghini, the rooms were very cosy and...

The only good thing about this place is the location. Don't let the photos fool you. This place is falling apart and very dirty. The photos must be a few years old by the looks of the place. The bathrooms stink, as does the kitchen and in various states of disrepair. The beds are noisy and uncomfortable. The sheets are...

Budget friendly and homey. Very friendly staff, the rooms were sturdy wooden bunkbeds and the bathrooms were clean. The best place to hangout was the lounge which was screen covered so you can enjoy nature and hang out in the sofa. The kitchen was cool too, where you can cook your own food. It is walking distance to everywhere so...

The rooms are air-conditioned and clean. They will book you just about any tour you like, point out where the best shopping is, where to eat for authentic local or western food. Close to October Cafe which has the best morning coffee in KK. They need a bigger fridge but for a budget place it was very ggod. Plus, if...

The bed sheets, towels and the whole room were semi-clean. The lock from one of the two shared showers was broken. The coffee machine barely worked and they juste added water but not put un new coffee, so it was rather 'sock's water' than coffee.

There is a sign in the accomodation area saying please respect other guests by being quiets after 10pm - the usual message. the staff and their friends were up and very noisy until 2am. The toilet and wash facilities weren't great. the only sink being communal and very low near an unsanitary toilet. Even though heading out on a jungle...

We stayed here in the dorms, managed to nock the price down to RM 25 a night from the advertised 30. I stayed in a dorm sleeping 6 (bunks) and my friend was in a room of 3. You get a simple breakfast of toast and jam for free every morning and as much tea and coffee as you like....

Friendly, helpful wee backpackers in central KK close to all backpacker needs. Fast Wi-Fi, good a/c and travel advice too. But don't stay here if you are a flash packer, as it is a bit tatty, needs a lick of paint and breakfast is very basic. Mei and Sherry on reception are awesome and they have a natty taste in...
