Very good staff, good breakfast buffet selection, room was a good size, good walking distance from shopping complex and about a 15 min walk to the city. Staff organized taxis for us and packed us a special breakfast when we had to leave on the last day at 4am.

Dear ClevelandKen, via:tripadvisor We apologise for the discomfort you experienced during your recent stay with us. During the incident our duty manager found the fruit and disposed of it. The fruit in question was one that would only emit odour after the skin is peeled off for consumption. As for our ventilation system, it is working well, however, the odour...

We came with a meeting group to this hotel on 12 January 2017 , but this time the Room 416 wifi connection is very very slow, at times we could not get connection at all. Despite informing the Front Desk, it did not seem to improve in our room . Housekeeping cleaned our room but did not replace wash cloths...

Dear WorldGlutton, via:tripadvisor We apologise for the slow internet connection during your recent stay with us. Our service provider was upgrading the system during the tenure of your stay. It has since been rectified. On the wash towels, as a green hotel, we replenish them once every two days. They are however available anytime upon request. We look forward to...

We booked this hotel since we hiked Kota Kinabalu mountain the other day and our guide picked us up infront of the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable eventhough it was cheap. The receptionist was kind enough to pack our breakfast for take away since we left the hotel 530am in the morning. Overall, not bad, I would definitely...

The palace hotel is almost an institution in Kota Kinabalu. I remember staying there with my classmates almost 30 years ago. And then later on attending Toastmasters meetings there. For a hotel this old, you'd expect it to be rather run down. However in the contrary, the hotel is so well maintained, it actually looks new. When you start here,...

If you are sensitive with smells and feel squeamish about unwashed sheets, avoid this place at all cost. The first room they gave me smelled like an smelly dish rag. Called front desk requesting for a new room, but they sent housekeeping who showed up wearing a mask and a can of air freshener! I insisted on a change, especially...

November 09, 2016 via:tripadvisor Thank you for your comments pertaining to your recent stay with us. We are very concerned about your experience and your comments have been duly noted. Thank you for your comments pertaining to your recent stay with us.

The experience and comments you described has caused us deep concern. We would like to offer our sincere apologies for any frustrations that may have caused. The comments and suggestions have been carefully noted by our team and these have certainly raised concern that needs to be addressed and will inspire us to strive harder in servicing our hotel guests. However, allow us to share with you on our findings.

The standard room assigned for your stay from September 14 to 17, 2015 was Room 014 (Wing B) and yes, all our standard rooms are located at the basement. The dry spell and the weather lately have contributed to the indoor environment where we felt the air-conditioning could not even conquer the heat and are seemingly stuffy! To add the situation worsen, unfortunately, upon the day of your arrival, 01 of the compressor of air-conditioning unit at the walkway broke down on Sunday, September 13, 2015 evening. As this job requirement is catered by a appointed contractor who is waiting for a new parts to arrive, we totally agree that the walkway is stuffy especially when the corridor doors are closed at all times.

With our Duty Manager’s assistance, Addyzan immediately attended to your comment and you were moved to Room 001 (Wing A) upon your agreeable to the room inspection prior to moving. Addyzan apologized for not having the opportunity to inform you pertaining to the compressor’s shortfall. However, the compressor was changed on Monday evening itself and the air-conditioning is now up and operating smoothly.

Patrik, kindly rest assured that the comments received have been of value to us in order to provide the best possible standards to our guests at all times. We sincerely regret that you did not convey your disappointments immediately to our Reception Desk should the change of

room only is not ethical as our aim and intent is to ensure our team is totally customer-focused and all guest concerns and disappointments are handled quickly and efficiently.

We hope the above is in order and if we can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us know. Thank you.
