Le Nomade is a nice basic place, with very helpful staff and quiet accommodations. It is located by the river walk, has a restaurant right next door, and another dozen within 2 minutes walking. That is good when it is raining. The staff, all of them, are pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Hard to go wrong here!!

We stayed in this hostel for three nights when we first arrived on Borneo. The rooms we had were fine, a fan was provided in the first room we had and aircon & bathroom in the second room. The breakfast was basic - white bread, jam and bananas, tea and coffee. This seemed pretty standard as other hostels we stayed...

My girlfriend and I went to Kuching for a few days and booked a 'deluxe double room with window, bathroom and a/c'. Upon arrival we were told that we need to stay in a room without bathroom for one night first but still have to pay the same price. For the second and third night we were put into a...

We picked this place because of its good ratings and ended up very disappointed! A toast of the quality of paper and 3 kinds of jam can't be enough to sell this place like it comes with a breakfast! The booking states it's possible to pay with credit card. But again it isn't the case! So we had to walk...

Hostel is clean, have really nice social place. Breakfast is standard, but it was fresh + extra some bananas. Rooms were small, but clean, mostly without windows. The only problem are walls - very thin. So forget about romantic nights. Despite walls you feel like in dorm. A nice one, but only a dorm.

We booked this place via air-bnb so we were a bit surprised that it is that quite large hostel (many rooms on three levels). But that was the short initial surprise that did not affect our stay whatsoever. Despite its size it was clean, cozy, quite. As well, because it was a hostel, we had two great receptionists always willing...

Stayed a few nights here, room was basic but clean, had a typical friendly hostel feel. Breakfast was toast and coffee but unlimited which is always nice. Prob a touch overpriced but only slightly, 10 ringgit maybe.

The hostel is in a good location and is clean with a nice living room area, but the rooms are very small. Our ensuite bathroom was essentially a toilet cubicle with a shower fitted in and no sink. The breakfast is very basic - just bread and jam. Wifi is fine in living area but doesn't work in rooms. We...

I should say that this place made me feel sad when i wanted to leave because i had to leave a friend behind. The receptionist Su was so friendly and her hospitality made me and my other two friends feel like we were at home. She was so helpful (eventhough she forgot to give us our blankets, leaving us frozen at...

After traveling around West Malaysia, we ended up in Kuching for some more quiet surrounding, to dip ourselves into nature. We really loved Kuching, as its people are really relaxed. It felt less touristy, which I prefer. From Kuching a lot of tours and trips can be arranged. Either guided or by yourself. We booked two nights at Nomad, but...
