I stayed 2 night at Berambih Lodge. It made me feel like back to New Zealand backpacker lodge where the staff are friendly and helpful. This living room comfortable and the only 'bamboo house' design in the town if u miss the long house while your stay in Kuching. Also located in the center, walking distance to river.

Berambih Lodge has quite basic air-conditioned rooms for the price, but is clean and well kept. The upstairs bathroom was being renovated, but is now fully functioning. The shared showers are also quite simple. The top floor bedroom is rather noisy beside the bathroom, so try to avoid staying there. The downstairs 'lobby' is very comfortable and cosy, with a...

On arrival, the lady told us she didn't know about our booking. Hopefully I had printed the booking and showed her the dates were correct.... The hostel was almost full for the 1st night and full for the 2nd night so she had to move us to another hostel. Rooms are small and OK. Backpacker style. Not much to speak...

Stayed for 1 night based on Tripadvisor reviews. Good location (although the taxi driver did not have a clue where it was...) and good value for money (read: cheap). But really not all it's cranked up to be in the reviews. I did not find the staff particularly helpful - in answer to most of my questions I was referred...

The only thing to bring up is on the disturbance when people walking around on the wooden floor. The location of this lodge is in Kuching...

No amount of vocabulary available in the English Language can justify the sheer hospitality and comfort that they have to offer =) Five Stars.

This the surely best ratio price/quality in kuching. The building is nice and quiet, close to the waterfront. The rooms and the commons are perfectly clean, the beds comfortable and the people very kinds. We've taken a long time to find a good room in kuching ans we've first visited a lot of lodges and hostels before the berambih lodge....

Stayed two nights (right at the end of Chinese New Year!), located on Carpenter Road in Chinatown. Amy was very welcoming, helpful, brilliant hostess! The double room we had was basic, but clean (with clean sheets!) with air con(RM50 per night) with a window looking out onto the street below. We had a little area outside our room for airing...
