Do not stay in rooms G7 and G8 - terribly musty due to poor ventilation. Glass block windows allowed some light but not sufficient air into the rooms. Ensuite bathrooms made the situation worse as moisture levels remained high in both rooms. This lodge is also not elderly-friendly - many stairs to climb - even to the ground floor rooms...

Comfortable room, good location, great facilities especially the rooftop bar, friendly welcome. Bit quiet during our stay (no one using the incredible bar area on a Saturday night) but overall excellent.

Have really enjoyed our stay at this hostel - it's clean, colourful and has plenty of cool areas to hang out in, rather than just your room. Lots of bathrooms - best shower so far in Borneo. Affordable, and free bike hire was a bonus! Stoked with the included breakfast offered too - cereal, toast, fruit, coffee, tea, juice.

Singgahsana Lodge hostel good fall out basis to explore kuching. The staff is amazing nice. Unfortunately the tour at the hostel mega expensive if you ask around you will find cheaper one. Behind the 7eleven there is a very good price quality restaurant srilankees prefect naam bread. Plan your hostel stay well since the price is different than when you...

We stayed in a couple of different rooms over our stay, all the rooms had lots of traffic noise. Bedding and towels were old and tired. Staff were very nice and friendly. Breakfast was toast and cereal. All in all thought it was over priced for what you got. Moved to Kuching waterfront lodge and think it's way better value.

We stayed in a deluxe room and it had a 4 poster bed!!! :) The room and the attached bathroom were considerably clean, and had a nice Sarawak local feel to it with the deco and all. The rooftop bar was amazing! All these for a very decent price! And since it was centrally located, we could walk everywhere!

Great to get off a 14 hour bus trip and land at the Singgahsana Lodge. They set our 4 kids up in a room with a bunk bed and 2 singles - they had no bathroom - but each floor had ample toilets and showers. We had a fabulous basement room with private bathroom and a reading annex. Really cute....

This hostel is amazing! Staff is superfriendly and willing to help you with anything. Rooms are clean. The bunkbed in the dorm was supercomfi, the best bed I've slept in in all of Borneo. Rooftopbar is cool, it's a nice place to chill. Breakfast is simple but better than average. Location is very good, just 3 steps from the Waterfront....

The Singghasana is a great hostel in the middle of town. It backs onto cool little backstreets and is across from the river. We stayed as a family of four in a clean basic room with a large bed and bunkbeds. The little bar upstairs is a nice retreat and everyone is friendly. Light sleepers may be bothered by the...
