My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Amingiri for four nights at the end of December 2022. It was our first time in the Maldives, and I can't say enough good things about the resort. We went with this resort because it is a quick transfer from the maldives airport (20 minutes by boat rather than waiting on a seaplane), and we are Hilton gold members.

The airport pickup and transfer went very smooth, as resort staff met us and escorted us to the boat shuttle to the resort. The shuttle transfer is smooth and the boat has wifi on board. It is a quick 20 minutes from the airport to the resort. The resort feels very new and clean. All of the welcome/common areas are nicely appointed, clean, and luxurious. Upon arrival, our Guest Experience Manager ( GEM) gave us all of the details for the layout of the resort, making dinner reservations, etc. The GEM communicated with us every day to check in and let us know of the daily activities available at the resort. He was always available and responsive if we had questions or needed anything.

We were in an overwater suite, and the suites are amazing. Very new, spacious, open and airy, and the outdoor pool attached to the suites is large and comfortable. The suites are big enough to spread out, but maintain a very good level of privacy from the other suites in the resort. There is great snorkeling right off of the suite, and you will see tons of wildlife. You can also snorkel at the beaches on the island, and we saw sharks and stingrays swimming around.

The dining options were excellent. We had a half-board meal plan (breakfast and dinner were included), and it was more than enough food such that we didn't need to buy lunch separately. The breakfast buffet has a great selection of local and western options, and always left us full. For dinner, we ate at each of the resort's restaurants, which all offered a slightly different flare (under the half-board meal plan, each restaurant had it's own menu with a few options for starters, mains, and desserts specific for the meal plan). We didn't have a bad meal and the half-board meal plan was excellent. As with any resort in the maldives, food prices are expensive if you chose not to go with a meal plan. There is also a complimentary happy hour for Hilton gold members which was great. We also did a wine tasting with Gasim as this resort is one of the few that has a Somm. It was a lot of fun.

The fitness center felt brand new, and had a great view of the ocean and beach, so you didn't feel like you were missing out on the vacation when at the gym. There are reusable water bottles at the gym for use, which was appreciated as I did not bring a water bottle for exercising.

All in all, the resort feels brand new and is well appointed. The staff were excellent and the dining options are great. It was a very relaxing stay and we would definitely return.

Because it is a new resort, all facilities were neat and clean. So I think it will be a choice that you will never regret. I stayed for 7 nights on a family trip with 2 eldery (>70yrs) and a 5-7 year old child and were very satisfied. I think it was the best in terms of facilities and customer service out of my four visits to Maldives.

If there was one limit, because it is located in Male atoll, the aquatic environment is somewhat inferior to the resorts of ba atoll we've been. Also, because the waves near the reef are rough, we recommend snorkeling from the beach villa side rather than the water villa side for snorkel beginners.

According to resort, we were first traveler from South Korea, but we had a very happy family trip for 7 nights without any discomfort or racism.

In particular, the best thing of this resort was the kids club "Krakengiri" which has crazy quality. It is a place that makes two children cry every morning because they want to go again after playing from 9 am to 6 pm. The children's club's swimming pool has a suitable depth, so it is safe from any accidents. Above all, the kidsclub's staffs are all very kind and loving all children.

Finally, what inspired me to write this review is as a follow-up for guests who have left the resort. Our flight was canceled due to a technical error, and all subsequent transfer flights were disrupted also. We ended up staying at the Male airport for more than 24 hours without proper action or management by the airline.

In fact, since we left the resort, resort has no obligation to take care of us.
However, as soon as we informed the resort, our buttler Abylaikhan(ABBA) managed our situation and airport manager Raihaan came directly to us and they strongly appealed to locals and airlines to get a faster flight. Thanks to this, we were able to minimize the damage with a delay of one day only.

As a member of Hilton DIA, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to "ABBA" and "Raihaan" through this review for saving my family's maldives trip from turning into a nightmare. Thank you so much and respect for your professionalism and responsibility to guests.

Even though my vacation was over, I still live in the illusion of being in the Amingiri when I close my eyes thanks to the wonderful people and wonderful facilities.

This was our first visit to Maldives, we chose to reside at Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort, based on my personal preference, knowing its Hilton, newly built resort about 2 years old, on a man made island, relatively short distance from Malè (20-30 minutes by speedboat) .
The reserved beach pool villa was fantastic in terms of size, location, contents, in house facilities, hygiene, quality and top service standards of housekeeping and room service units with great people whom we found friendly, attentive, caring and kind, and let’s not forget the front office team who played an outstanding role in welcoming us and taking care of all of our needs and wants from the moment we arrived at Malé airport to the resort and all the way till we checked out and checkin on our flight back home.
During our stay, a part from all the joyful moments we had on the beaches and some water activities, we also have enjoyed their daily breakfast at the Habitat outlet, and fine dining at Origin, Beach Shack & Aura outlets, with tasty and delicious dishes prepared in style and appropriated standard, being surrounded by wonderful hosts whom made our dinning experiences happy and memorable.
Adding to that SIP, a tranquil outlet to experience and taste variety of tea types and flavors while enjoying the beautiful beach eyesight and blue skies, and sunset !

The quality of the Hotel facilities & F&B offered, was strongly complimented by the Hilton staff around us, whom were instrumental in making us joyful, happy and fulfilled during our 8 days on this resort, it was a fabulous experience to mingle with Maldivians for the first time in our life, whom indescribably were so specially including few other foreign nationals among them from Morocco, Algeria, India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Uzbekistan etc… whom blended in well and were fabolous in their services and friendly encounters too !

I think I should stop writing now, as I could keep writing pages to describe such a wonderful experience we had in Maldives 😊

This is a brand new hotel with a perfect approach to guest satisfaction. Almost everyone in this resort goes for the extra mile to make sure the guests are happy with their experience.

Location is perfect… we didn’t want to take another flight after a journey of 15 hours and a connection flight, so we looked for a hotel to which you can access with a boat from Male Airport. The hotel is 20 minutes away from Male airport. All those Maldives landscapes, sand, beaches, sea are there.

Hotel… is brand new. Everything is done according to the needs of our time, no leakages, no non-working equipment, no problemmatic taps, chairs, TVs, A/Cs or doors. Everything just works. We stayed in a brand-new villa, designed for families with children. When a hotel is new, you feel it everywhere in every part of it.

Staff… I think the staff is the most outstanding part of this resort is its people. Almost everyone does their utmost to make sure you enjoy your moment. Our guest experience manager was, Mozi, and he made sure every moment of our stay was well organized. While having your privacy and family time as much as you want, you can feel that the guest experience manager is always there, working for you. We can’t thank him enough. I feel like it’s unfair not to mentions names of others here, but can’t list it all.

Food… very interestingly, in the middle of an ocean on an island, you end up with fantastic food and a very wide selection. Chef Guru and his team from the restaurant Habitat welcomes you and makes sure you eat whatever you want.
The Beach Shack restaurant was an exceptional experience, book that the first day you check in.
Pre-booking the menu or reserving tables can have problems some time, so better if you spend 5 minutes in advance with your guest manager to organize stuff.

Activities/amenities… we’ve done scuba, spa, photoshooting. All were fantastic.
Candice, our diving instructor was extremely professional and thanks to her my 10 y.o daughter did her first scuba experience and she fell in love with it. Strongly recommended.

Soba is an artist in photographing, definitely must to leave the island with good memories.

One point to improve though… the transfer planning from airport isn’t the most ideal. After long hours of travelling, you don’t want to wait for other families for a 20 min boat ride, for which you pay 1000+ usd anyway. I dont think this is a wise idea to frustrate people before they even get in the hotel, for a service which is charged quite pricey. Our waiting time was a little less than 1 hour, and we had to protest this in order to get the boat going. This is not a deal breaker for us to be back next year, but certainly before we make the booking, we’ll make sure this won’t happen.

My Husband and I spent 5 Nights and 4 Days at Amingiri for our Honeymoon

Our GEM Shaufa was always available and ready to assist (bookings, rides around the resort, extras for the room, etc.) Many thanks to Shaufa for all if her help!
She is sweet patient and very helpful.

The overwater villa with a suite was exquisitely decorated, spacious and has unique features like in floor glass for ocean views, full height sliding doors to seperate the space, infinite pool, overwater nets for lounging and direct access to the ocean.
They have amazing set up for the honeymoon couple.

The resort has a dive center, water sports center, separate young kids and teens area, spa with private villa treatment rooms, adults only bar, and 4 restaurants for eating.

We also did an amazing cocktail class with Hamdan!

Special thanks to Chef Viji for making healthy breakfast layout for us every morning along with his team Niyaz and Anan (the avocado tuna toast with eggs! - soo yum!)

Also our kind regards to Chef Akhilesh and his team for making amazing lunch with the fresh catch of the day!

And Upul for serving us French Kombucha and Ginger beer, that’s the best !! It’s homemade fresh and super yum.

Our spa Director Maripol for taking special yoga class for us every morning.

Our room care taker Baakru the most generous and kind, always making sure our room has regular amenities.

Every staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our stay memorable!

Thank you Team Hilton for making our honeymoon so memorable.

The location is absolutely beautiful. There is great snorkeling near many of the over water bungalows. The staff is so nice and helpful. They offer loaner snorkel gear at the dive shop for free as long as you return it undamaged. The dive shop also offers great opportunities for water sports including scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking and many more. Only complaint is that the food was quite expensive but that is not exactly surprising considering it is a resort in the middle of the ocean

Highly recommended resort. From the moment you step down to Male till departure, Hilton staff will go beyond and on to make your stay unforgettable. We stayed in Overwater Suite and the room was really great. Our package included Half board and we had buffet breakfast, and some days three course set menu while other days themed buffet dinner. Loved the Maldivian and Middle Eastern buffet. Food is really nice, don’t know what to recommend most. Kudos to Habitat team! Guys - restaurant’s guest welcoming staff, Front end Manager, live station cooks, chefs, waiters, live singers, everyone (sorry, can’t memorize each names) - you all are amazing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 We loved food in Habitat. You can find everything from international to asian and authentic Maldivian. Everything is fresh and so delicious. The only dark side is that food package doesn’t include even single glass of water. Beverage needs to be purchased, and it is very expensive. Even though the resort provides complementary drinking water to the room twice daily, it is not allowed to bring it over to the restaurant. I suggest the water be offered with meal complimentary, while other beverages still could be chargeable. I stayed in other resorts in Maldives, but never seen that even drinking water be charged separately and not offered for free with meal. This really makes me think twice of my next visit. Not offering drinking water is really shame to the resort of such level. Otherwise if not its staff I wouldn’t give 5 star review.
In fact, Hilton Amingiri’s staff, starting from room cleaners, who never pop up in front of you, but making sure to provide you enjoyable stay, to resort management, who is always on the floor, is the true GEM of the resort. It is THEM who create the best memories for each guest. Special thanks to our butler Hisham, a guy with amazingly beautiful eyes and looking like Bollywood actor. Always attentive, patient and smiling.
As for smile, you will see them on faces of each and every staff. They demonstrate how they are obsessed with their work, how they love what they do, and how happy they are with providing guests with great services.
As for resort itself, it is quite new, little less than 2 years if being precise. However, I didn’t find it much attractive in terms of snorkeling, as its underwater nature is not much diverse compared to, as example, Baa Atoll. Moreover, the water around the overwater villa has high currents that is not good for beginners, but only good for experts. The other thing that is missing in the resort is jungle walk. You almost can’t see fruit bats or hear Maldives specific birds. Everything else is amazing in the resort and you will really enjoy your stay.

We were travelling with a 7 month child and hotel is located perfectly just 20 min by speedboat from male airport. The hotel is brand new and service is as per expectations. We stayed in an over water suit villa, the villa was huge with modern interiors, we loved it. Tutu and Meeks were always there with quick responses to our needs.

Food - the food at the resort was A+, We tried all the restaurants and had different cuisines everyday. The food was amazing, all the chefs were proactive and willing to provide with great culinary experience. Furthermore, chef's experience with baby food is good and my baby really enjoyed his food.

Activities - hotel has all the activities you can expect from maldives with a luxe amingiri touch.

Marine Life and Waters - if you are going for marine life near the island and good sightings then this island location is not offering much. Overall beaches are clean and waters are beautiful, we still saw few different fish species from our room floor glass nothing great though. No manta rays, sting rays, eagle rays, baby sharks, Nemo fish etc. I don't know the reason for it though.

Just a critical feedback, housekeeping services can be still improved, specially room cleaning part of it.

Overall we had a great fun experience, already nostalgic about our time at Amingiri.

Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa was unreal. From its stunning views to peaceful ambiance to the delightful staff and amazing accommodations and delicious food, it was one of the best trips we have ever taken! My now husband and I chose the Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. We LOVED it here and want to come back for our anniversary! The team here is so welcoming and treat you like family! We were lucky enough to meet the GM Gaurav and Director of Operations, Smital, whom were so invested and engaged with their guests! It was such a pleasure to get to know them!! In addition, this resort assigned us Hassan whom we could contact at any time for help or any questions about whatever we wanted! He took such great care of us even after our stay when we had questions; we were lucky to have him assigned to us! Everyday Bharkar cleaned our room and made these lovely animals out of our towels and placed them on our bed – he was so thoughtful and one of the most enjoyable people we met at the resort! During our stay we also did the private Gin Tasting which we highly recommend – not only are the bartenders extremely knowledgeable but they take pride in what they do! They want their guests to have a great time and they want to genuinely teach! We learned that apparently, we really like Gin Mare, such a fun experience! We also did the Sunset Cruise with Will whom was very knowledgeable and great company! On this resort they also give you bicycles so we relearned how to ride a bike and rode around the island, it was fabulous! I also went to the spa where the Director of Spa, Marisol, was amazing! She was knowledgeable but also came up to us in other parts of our stay when she saw us! She was so great! My masseuse (Faa I believe) was awesome too! One of the best parts of our trip was of course the food! Everyday my husband’s was ready for breakfast with excitement – we particularly enjoyed getting to know Praveen (Executive Chef), Soumya (Managing Chef), and Om! They took such care in asking what we wanted for breakfast and making sure it was delivered. They would seek us out and were let us know they were happy to make what we liked. They made our stay elite – that service is what set Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa apart from the rest. We will never forget it or any of the staff here at this resort! Thank you Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa for hiring and maintaining such a great staff and delivering on everything and more for our honeymoon! We hope the staff get to see this review and what level of an impact they made on us!

Just returned from 8 excellent nights at the Amingiri Hilton, which is now one of my favourite hotels in the world. From start to finish, I felt the warmth of the Hilton’s excellent hospitality, with the staff deserving much better than the 5 stars I can put here - absolutely incredible.

The Amingiri is a new resort in the Maldives, so everything is noticeably brand new and the rooms are all stunning. We stayed in an overwater villa as well as a beach villa, I have to say that the overwater villa was my favourite (even with the worry of watching a very small child) but the beach villa was excellent too. The rooms are wonderful and the beds are extremely comfortable; love the bathrooms and all of the amenities. The bathroom in the overwater villa is incredible, love all of the small finishing touches such as the mirror lighting. The overwater villa also has a glass bottom floor, so you can watch the fish swim by during the daytime. In the beach villa it is nice to just watch the blue of the sea in the distance — a great view.

The gym and spa are great — the equipment choices are pretty good, would be better for some more weight lifting equipment but good enough for a workout. There are a few running machines. Daily yoga available - very good. The spa staff are friendly.

The real highlight of our trip though was the staff. Whether that would be having a nice chat while we had our breakfast, or just learning a little bit about the Maldives, the culture and other recommendations. The food was incredible. There’s a room that contains dozens of fruits, yoghurts, bread, bakery snacks etc., with a member of staff keeping everything fresh and available. The breakfast food on offer is second to none — what a range. We stayed for an extended period of time and we didn’t ever feel like we were bored of the breakfast or dinner options.

Kids club — incredible. This is the best I’ve ever witnessed (unbelievable!!) and I don’t think that this will ever be bettered on any of my future stays either! Simply wow

The only small piece of feedback is that on our last night we discovered that during our (excellent) second meal at Origin, that there was a buffet available elsewhere - we had absolutely no idea about it. Maybe a notice board or having the staff / butler letting everyone know would solve that.

Aura was a nice place to watch the sunset, and was criminally quiet during the week that I spent. Such a cool bar.

Finally, I want to say a big thank you to Rex and especially Vishal. You made our mornings begin with a smile, and you looked after and cared for my child every day making sure she had plenty of attention. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

If the tide is out, you will be able to walk on the ocean bottom. However, when tide was in, the depth was around 7-8ft. Also, the floor is a mixture of sand and broken corral from the island building process.
