Loved its spectacular view. Splendid swimming pool. Nicel and well decorated room..The only inconvenience was the bad smell of garbage coming on terrace area of the room.. Else,the environment was pleasant and cosy in the room.. There was a wide variety of food for both lunch and dinner, which was very tasty. Awesome resort.. The staff was very helpful and friendly. On January 13, 2020 I had a memorable stay. Very hot and high humidity which created a real discomfort. The resort is fantastic, large, spacious room, balcony, daily cleaning, friendly and hardworking staff. Very good food, for all tastes, cocktails as well, very good sweets, wonderful trips, I recommend them with confidence. It was a fantastic holiday, I highly recommend it!

As our anniversary is 6 weeks before Christmas we don’t do gift but treat ourselves to a holiday. If we holiday at our anniversary though we usually travel further afield to guarantee the sun. This was a first visit to Mauritius for us and we were not disappointed. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. The weather was fantastic. We had a private transfer from the airport and the driver was very informative about what to see and do whilst there. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a staff member who welcomed us with a drink. After completing some paperwork we were advised our room wasn’t quite ready so we were offered the use of the courtesy suite to change ourselves. We opted to go and get something to eat as we had been travelling a while and then after we’d eaten we were lucky enough to hear our room was ready. Our room was a good size for the two of us with a separate toilet to shower room. It was exceptionally clean and towels were changed almost every day. There was plenty of sun beds although quite crammed together at the front facing the pool. We preferred the ones at the sides of the pool or alongside the walkway of the hotel rooms where there was more space. Despite hotel information advising not to reserve sun beds people still do so not sure what it would be like in peak season. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Arranging taxis or trips or offering advice if required. You can also change money at the hotel if you need cash. There is also a little shop within the hotel where you can buy some essentials and gifts. There is plenty of space for sitting and enjoying the food whether that be in the main restaurant area or one of the specialised eateries (these need to be booked although we saw people just turn up and still get seated it may depend on the season). The hotel knew it was our anniversary holiday - we didn’t get anything within our room like we have in previous hotels but as we provided a copy of our marriage certificate (travel agent requested it) we got a free cake when dining at the beach restaurant. Apparently you get more if it’s 15 years but not sure what that is ? Maybe the supplements are waived. There were peak times at the restaurants but there was always plenty of choices and it appeared to cater for everyone. There were also afternoon snacks by the pool and in the hotel reception which always went down a treat and gave us a break from the hot sun. Evening entertainment was ok ... not the best I have seen but it was better than nothing. Getting drinks during shows was quite time consuming with the numbers there. Checkout time was quite early but even though we had a late flight home we were still able to enjoy a day on the beach slash pool as there is a courtesy suite to use. We queued for a slot for about 30 minutes and once you get a slot you only have half an hour max. Also be warned you do not have exclusive use of the room. The most friendliest staff from the island. Vanessa from Reception did an amazing job and she made us feel wonderful during our 7 nights stay at Ambre. Location is beautiful, the beaches are with thin sand, you can book attractions directly from them, also you have a small shop and a small clinic just in case. They can improve the menu at the restaurants, to have a bigger variety of food, but the staff there deserve a lot of appreciation, because of them I will rate Ambre with 5 stars.

This was our honeymoon (Laurie family) and we were not disappointed, as we made some lovely memories We are very sorry that we have taken so long to write this review as our holiday ended just as covid kicked in. We have to say that we felt happy and relaxed throughout our holiday and the staff were friendly and kind and always there to help from the minute we arrived. Our room was clean and spacious and it has to be said we had a small issue with our room and this was dealt with Immediately and professionally. We had regularly top ups of drinks in our Fridge in our room each day. The beach , pool and activities were well manned and staff checked we was happy and it needed drinks. I enjoyed the Sport centre which offered all activities , I loved the yoga as the sun rose and water aerobics. Ambre food was very varied and had a good choice , breakfast was really special and so fresh and enjoyable. Each night there was some entertainment to look forward to and we could relax and watch some dancing singing or a band . We really enjoyed the quiet corner of the spa and we adored the treatments. We must thank in particular raiksha (sorry If we spelt this wrong ) she was sweet, funny , kind and had a good sense of humour. I must salute this hotel for how they dealt with covid , as they remained professional and had a smile on their face even when we knew that things were changing in the world. They were quick to move guests to protect us all and keep tourists together in one hotel Thank you sooo much Ambre we missed some tours did to covid, but we will return to see you in a heart beat . ❤️❤️❤️❤️…
