We booked this hotel online and were impressed with the way it presented itself. As we were travelling by car we require parking which was shown as included in the booking. Once we got there, there was a totally different story. Staff had no record of our booking and could not read the English in our confirmation. Deeply unhelpful and...

We booked three nights at Mumtaz Mahal in December and were stunned by the decor which is a lot less tacky in the real world than it looks in some of the photos. Our room was enormous, and whilst it didn't have the harbour view that the website we used had promised (ridiculous really - you can't have such a...

Continental breakfast on the rooftop terrace (book at reception) nice decoration and pleasant young staff. They gave us some top tips and booked taxis with pick up just outside. The Mumtaz is in a great location, less noisey than most streets with easy access to the medina, beach and port. Rooms are dark but spacious with great bathroom, our bed...

Stunning building, great location with very friendly staff. OK so the rooms were not as clean as I would have expected, but we did not find them filthy as described in some of the other reviews on here ... and the breakfast was plentiful served in the Moroccan lounge downstairs. Lashings of hot water for the cavernous bathtubs in the...

We arrived on Saturday afternoon with great anticipation but we're immediately disappointed. The hotel and rooms were beautiful from far but on closer inspection extremely worn down and filthy.. We asked to move rooms but exactly the same so made do with our lot..the TV in the room didn't work properly, and shower head completely unfunctional..loose cupboards and drawers, telephone didnt work,no...

Stayed here one night on our trip. Having stayed in another two riads in Marrakech city we expected the same standards of service and cleanliness here........ We were wrong! Check-in was hurried, no tea on arrival, not shown around, not told about spa, no WiFi code given, not told the breakfast arrangements for next day. Our room was massive, beautifully...

The most stunning building with beautiful features in our 2 week visit – but unfortunately it achieved last place in our overall Riad experiences of our trip. Clearly visible is the lack of supervision/management and owner’s presence – for example water feature in the entrance without water. Staff friendly but very limited English. Limited information on arrival – no maps...

We stayed for a week here and were welcomed by Yousra with a Moroccan tea which gave us time to absorb the fantastic decor, before being shown the spa, restaurant, terrace and our room - what a great way to be welcomed after a long journey! The room was huge, with a equally oversized granite bath and spectacularly decorated which...

What a great experience, we had a couples hamman which is very like a sauna followed by body scrub, the attendant was kind and professional and guided us through the experience with sign language, it was approx £40 pound for both of us for an hour, there was no sense of being rushed, only downside was abut of noise from...

Comfortable bed, clean, huge spacious room. It was only missing a bin inside the room, and some information concerning the services of the hotel inside the room as well. When i checked in, I wasn't told anything, I had to ask for breakfast time, wifi service, service, etc. Staff is friendly though, specially the girl in the morning in charge...

“If you're interested in picking up some wifi then choose a room on the 1st floor (although it's not guaranteed). The decor can be quiet dark without natural light, try to get a room with windows.”
