My husband and I stayed here at the beginning of July. When I booked it there were only 3 reviews on Tripadvisor but I liked the sound of it and wasn't disappointed. We took the suite on the top floor and although it took 3 flights of stairs it was worth it. Yes the toilet/shower room was a little cramped...

I loved Essaouira. Many people told me I would be bored after a day or two – I disagree. My stay in Essaouira was for 5 nights – although this was extended from 3. This was in a large part due to my experience at this riad. The most significant thing I can share is the excellent management style of...

A family of 6, we stayed here for 6 nights in August after staying in Oliver's other riad in Marrakech. The combination worked well as all the transfers were organised in advance by Oliver and the air conditioned transport was excellent. Essaouira is a more relaxed, refreshing alternative to the big city and likewise Riad Bab is a small, intimate...

A riad is simply a building, a boutique hotel and, although they vary in style and appearance, their success (or otherwise) lies with the staff and the management. Hassan and Hafida manage to turn the Bab Essaouira experience into something truly unique and special. From the delicious, leisurely breakfasts served in the communal kitchen/dining area to the unscheduled tea served...

We found this riad using trip advisor so I am sure that most of what I say is just backing up the already stellar reviews! We stayed here for 3 nights in June which happened to coincide with the Gnouwa (spelling?!) festival. We travelled from Marrakech to Essaouira using the Super@Tours buses - at 140 DH for two for one...

We stayed at this riad for an overnight stay in Essaouria. We were met from the bus station by riad staff & escorted through the medina. Amine was clear to point out many reference points on the way there & during our first walk back to the medina to ensure we could find our own way! We did not get...

My husband and I spent one night here after a couple of days in Marrakech and what a lovely place to stay. The owner was really quick responding to emails and arranged for the manager to meet us at the port. He walked us to the riad which was in an ideal location for both the port and the souks....

After a cultural trip trough marrakech, the owner of the riad dar najat send me fortunately to the stylish, small riad bab essaouira. Reading some books, walking in the evening at the beach, eating fresh fish ... and bevor you go to bed, take a look at the stars on the rooftop with a fresh mint tea. Only 4 rooms,...

This was my second stay at Riad Bab Essaouira, I stayed for 3 nights at Riad Dar Najat (in Marrakech) and 2 nights in Essaouira. Both riads are owned by the same person and you can split your trip to Morocco over the two places (Marrakech and Essaouira), Olivier (the owner) arranged all of the transport for me, so I...
