I stayed during 3 days at Riad Akiba in Essaouira, together with my son, in mid-July 2013. The reception was extremely good. The people who runs the hotel are really friendly, smiling and helpful. The rooms, tastefully decorated, are especially convenient to people traveling as a couple, but can also accommodate families. The Riad, while located right inside the medina,...

This riad was perfect. It took some finding (the medina takes some navigating!) but was worth the hunt when we finally arrived. The lady who greeted us was lovely & keen to please. The rooms were beautiful & cleaned every day. The use of a washing machine is really handy, especially if you are travelling. The breakfast was nice &...

This is a good option for most people if you stay in Essaouira. Most people will be more than happy to stay here. It's modern and new inside, housekeeping is immaculate and keeps the place spotless. It's well located near the bus stop and during my stay my room was reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent, in fact it was difficult...

If you are searching various riads to stay in Essaouira, then you don't need to look any further. Perfect location in the old Medina, very helpful staff who are really trying hard to make this place something special. Newly appointed throughout, so brand new beds/decor/bathrooms, etc., etc., but in keeping with the traditional riad style. We stayed here March 2013...

A super clean riad in Essaoueira medina. We booked just 1 night but stayed 3. Rooms are spacious and clean. The riad has a heating system that must be useful in winter. The riad looks new, well furnished and modern. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is good - near to car parking and bus station, short walk to the...

After not finding availability at more popular riads we booked 3 nights at the Riad Akiba and found it...and Essaouira...so pleasant that we stayed a week. The Riad Akiba is located in the medina on a quiet street where the cats run free. Manager/co-owner Sadek is a Tuareg man with many talents. Ask him to prepare a tagine dinner or...

Riad Akiba was absolutely fantastic! It's spotlessly clean and its staff was really welcoming. Additionally, it's location was truly convenient: only five minutes away (by walking) from both bus station and the souks, and very close from the sea-side, too. Furthermore, the breakfast was excellent and the facilities are brand new. Riad Akiba could easily be the best value-for-money choice...
