On this my first visit to Namibia I was pleased to find the Hansa Hotel and agree with others here that it is an excellent establishment. I stayed in the "White Lady" room which was very large and spotlessly clean. Reception and all staff were genuinely welcoming. Email inquiries regarding transport from/to the Walvis Bay airport were replied to promptly....

I just had the pleasure of staying at the Hansa Hotel in Swakopmund, Namibia. After a tour through the Namib desert we were so positively surprised by the high quality of the lovely hotel. The rooms are big, perfectly clean and everything is of high quality. The staff is friendly, professional and attentive. I can recommend the restaurant for both...

This was the only hotel we could get accommodation for our 1st night in Swakopmund and is not sorry that we could stay at the Hansa Hotel Very friendly reception staff, the room we had very upmarked and very clean . Great value for money. Had supper at their restaurant that evening, very good, but be careful for the Colonial coffee!!...

Hansa Hotel - Swartkopmund 10 out of 10 in every conceivable aspect. A gloriously furbished colonial era property that has been afforded so much T.L.C it is probably better presented today than when it was first opened. The staff very obviously take great pride in their professions & their having a position at The Hansa Guest rooms are seriously huge...

A very elegant, 'grown up' hotel. Well appointed rooms, excellent food and well trained staff. It is in the centre of Swakopmund and you can safely walk where you like - so no taxis to pay for. We only ate breakfast here [excellent] and went to the Tug Boat for dinner. Highly recommended.

nice hotel in the middle of Swakopmund. Within walking distance to almost everything. Was here for business and was easy to get around. Room was nice size and charming. Nice historical feel to this hotel. Give their famous "Colonial coffee" a try! (hint: it contains very little coffee!).

I stayed in the Hansa in the middle of a 2 week work/leisure trip. It was my favorite hotel in Namibia. I stayed in a room on the courtyard, and could sit in front of the room to enjoy the finches who drink from and play in the fountain. The parking is secure in a gated courtyard so no worries...

We stayed two nights at the Hansa Hotel in Swapokmund. It is quite an old-fashioned colonial place, which is not generally our style. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite, which faced the main street, with a lovely balcony. We were dressed in the rough, with hiking boots etc. but it seemed...

I struggled with the rating for this hotel but only because it's really not our style. It's elegant but we were on safari (hiking boots, trekking pants, etc.) and I always felt under-dressed at dinner. We found the staff to be efficient and ready to serve, but, for us, overly formal. Even the other guests seemed rather 'stuffy'. Having set...
