Maybe we were unlucky, but there were works on the water supply, so we didn´t have a working bathroom for most of our stay. When we wanted to use water, we needed to phone reception and they needed to have the generator work, but it didn´t function always. Rooms are clean, but there are loads of openings to the hallway...

An old hotel in the centre of town, so quite noisy, The room was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Put me in a room with balcony when I asked if there was one, for no extra charge. Not the Ritz, but fine for a couple of days stay.

Staying here was the least pleasant experience we had in Panama. I'm used to staying in hostels and budget hotels, so I don't mind "no-frills" - but this was a really poorly designed (old) hotel. This is one of the oldest hotels in Chitré and it definitely has the feeling of once being a great hotel that is now a decent little spot to stay when passing through town.
