Starting with the check in, the person at the desk was extremely rude. The hotel had supposedly lost our (confirmed) reservation, and we were kept waiting for more than an hour while the "people from reservations" looked it up. Once we got into the rooms, we were dismayed to find no water bottles, the air conditioning was not working and...

I visited Meliá Panama Canal from 11/5/16-11/7/16 and again from 11/11/16-11/13/16. Let me start by saying that I have travel to many hotels that offer all inclusive option all over the Caribbean and this experience was by far the worst I have ever experienced. First of all all the all inclusive at this Meliá hotel was garbage, their all inclusive...

This is a renovated military barracks that was well done. Very large with a couple of large pools. However, the wifi did not work in the room. The staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive. Had to leave after only one night. Disappointing.

I am giving this hotel five stars for the personal service provided by all of the staff, the comfort of the rooms, the architectural elegance, the variety and quality of the food provided in a remote jungle location. Interacting with the staff made us feel comfortably at home. The rooms are ample with high ceilings and comfortable beds. The swimming...

I immediately called reservations back (within 30 seconds of receiving the confirmation email) and was told there was nothing they couId do. I did not want a refund I just wanted the hotel to change the date from November...

It is well worth it to stay a night in this lovely old property which has a very nice atmosphere. It's nice to wander through the hotel, focusing on the architectural details. We had three buffet meals at the hotel, all of which were very good. The rooms are large and comfortably furnished. A drawback of the hotel is that...

This place has nice rooms but whatever cleaning products are used are extremely strong, making for a rather unpleasant olfactory experience! Other than that it has a nice dining room with good food (although the dining room servers were pretty serious and not very friendly). The front desk staff were more pleasant. The main appeal is the pool/deck area which...

This hotel is a truly lovely old property with a magnificent front entrance area, lovely dining room, huge pool area and beautiful walkways with a variety of tropical vegetation. Our room was spacious with a high ceiling and nice appointments. The bathroom was perfect.

Really enjoying this resort. Ok, it is not the modern, city hotel but that was not what we were looking for when coming to a place in the middle of nowhere, a huge nice park/reserve (?) on a lake, and wth nearly no pueblos around. We give a 5 to service, to staff ! In all departments they have been...
