Out of the way from everything. Quite relaxing place. Not so much for swimming in the ocean ( bad under tow) which is posted. This is the off season so not many on the beach which was nice. Food & service where very good. Had a good time. But I think it is a little over rated on the internet....

If you are looking for a place to relax away from everything this place may work for you. Is a 30 min drive from David, The road to the resort is not easy if you don't know the area, but there are signs to help find it. The staff provided good service, the rooms where spacious and clean thought the...

We stayed for 2 nights in a 2 BR suite. The hotel gerunds, po and ocean front are great. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated by U.S. Standards, but beds are comfortable. Every room has an ocean view. The restaurant is good and reasonably priced. Lack of fresh fish was a surprise, but we...

i was fortunate enough to visit the property after meeting the owners wife on a flight my last trip to Panama so I grabbed some friends and took the drive over from Boquette to enjoy an overnight birthday celebration. As a well earned rest four of us, two english couples came back to Las Olas for our 3rd visit in 5 years. We had just spent a week fishing with Paradise fishing lodge in Quebrada de Piedra and really needed a complete rest. The resort offers peace and quiet fat very reasonable prices for a small suiite with two...

This place reminds me of the kind of beach resort you might find in North Korea. It is kind of a time capsule from the late 80s aesthetically. The old digital clock in our room was blinking-not set, and the tv was a really old box with a remote that did not work. Luckily the ac (although old) worked and...

We didn't stay @ the hotel but did have a few meals there. We had breakfast, lunch, and two dinners. The irony we encountered was on our last night @ the resort we stayed at. There was a film crew @ the resort filming a reality show about how to improve their hotel. The staff were always courteous, some spoke...

We checked into the Las Olas resort on the 19th of Feb 2015. Don't let the main photo fool you. We were given a very small room which had lots of dead bugs on the floor and bedding. There was no room for luggage. Four fuzzy channels in Española only. Geckos running around the room. The pillows and bedding were...

We needed a hotel near David on our way south to Panama City and decided to stay at Las Olas. This big hotel needs a major renovation to bring it up to today's standards. The pool is small and a dangerous rip tide makes the beach undesirable. With all the new resorts springing up around Panama in better locations, time...
