Average quality for high prices. No warm water, penalties for leaving ac on, unclear whether 10% tax is included in price, rooms and towels are not cleaned when staying longer, staff speaks only Spanish. Went fishing and we brought in some nice tuna. Fish was deliciously prepared by the cook and served to other customers. Nevertheless, we were charged for... More

Thank you for your review. We appreciate all reviews since good and less than good reviews allow us the opportunity to improve on our employee training and improve on our facilities. Many times we have used our guests suggestions to improve on the rooms themselves. Our description is complete on the internet and we do not advertise something we don´t... More

Cynthia & the staff at Cerrito Tropical made my 4 week stay memorable and my leaving emotional. As a seasoned solo traveler (female) throughout Central America, I highly recommend this wonderful B&B for those who enjoy tranquility on a island paradise just a bit off the beaten track. All the amenities of home are provided (comfortable beds, private bathrooms) with... More

We love this place. The management and staff are always friendly and helpful. The views of the ocean are spectacular and the veranda very relaxing. The chef, Aristides, makes great food, especially fish dishes. The owners are great entertainers as well as hosts and have special holidays dinners, not to be missed if you are travelling during Christmas and New... More

My fiancee and myself stayed at Cerrito Tropical from December 16th to the 19th as part of our overall trip to Panama. The island is not a hopping overflowing tourist trap, but laid back, and relaxing. The beach is very nice and wasn't crowded, and climbing to the highest mountain top via the path was a trek (bring good shoes)... More

Two of our friends decided to have a destination wedding/elopement in Panama, so last month three couples spent three nights at Cerrito Tropical celebrating the nuptuals of our dear friends. From the first email communication, Cynthia (the owner) was professional, friendly, and incredibly kind and helpful. The highlights include great food, good service, friendly staff, clean rooms, and amazing views.... More

Cerrito has good rooms (spacious, tv, fridge, AC) at decent prices. But the great part about them is that they go out of their way to make you feel at home. They let me check in early (8 AM the day I arrived) and check out late the day I left (3:30 PM), all for no extra charge. The food... More

We are transfered to Panama City, Panama for a year. To get away from the noise decided to go to Taboga Island for a night. It is an absolutely gorgeous place. We ended up staying at Cerrito tropical. It is a beautiful and extreemly clean B&B hotel. The suite is very nice. It has a well equipped kitchen; It is... More

Cerrito Tropical was nice, basic accommodations a 3 minute taxi ride or 10 min walk from the ferry. The room was large, had good AC and the common room had a DVD player for watching movies. They also provided a great continental breakfast of fruits, coffee/tea/juices, and toast. We were here in the rainy season, so it was hot and... More

Thank you for taking time to review Cerrito Tropical. We appreciate the positive review. In the past, we have had some guests who found there were not enough activities for them, so we hooked up with a couple of local fishermen to offer fishing tours with a local - just yesterday our guests caught a 30 pound corvina (sea bass).... Cerrito Tropical recently hosted our one-day staff retreat and exceeded all expectations for service and attention. The hotel was a beautiful setting for the day, with an incredible view of the ocean and ships waiting near the mouth of the canal, from the upstairs suite that we used as our meeting spaceoom. Our lunch was delicious and delivered quickly with... More

We have been to the Cerrito Tropical three times now, and each stay gets better. This last stay was like a homecoming weekend, except that we made 'new' friends! The hotel was full, yet the patrons all seemed to bond in the two short days. The owner, Cynthia, was a great host throughout the weekend, and was even able to... More
