We spent 4 nights inside the main building and were blown away by the hospitality and friendliness of the entire team. Everyone from grounds maintenance, catering, guides, boat drivers and beyond were warm and keen to make us feel special. This place deserves to be commended for attention to detail, torch lit walkways, lovely toiletries, robes, flip flops, welcome lemongrass...

We stayed for 3 days in a cabana by the lake. Our journey began with Paul picking us up from the airport and then a short bus ride to the dock for a 30 mins boat ride to the lodge. From the first step off the boat, we were surrounded by the beauty of the rainforest. The main lodge is...

I have to admit that I didn't do much research on this lodge. It was recommended by the tour company we were using (Totally Latin America). Wow. I was there with by two kids - 17 & 15. We stayed in a cabin overlooking the pond. We had a room with 3 beds, so no fights over who had to...

With only limited time for a side visit to the Amazon, we chose the Inkaterra Hacienda for its combination of convenience and ecotourist approach, and were not disappointed. Excellent service from the minute we left the plane until boarding again for our return, including knowledgeable guides, enough wildlife and walking opportunities onsite on property to occupy many hours, wonderful (but...

We stayed here 3 days and loved every moment. The weather was somewhat crazy but that did not stop us. Paola was excellent keeping good control of us and Elias was a really knowledgable guide. We stayed in the main building and that was great as it was close to everything. Excursions was really well organized and we felt safe...

With 9 other guests from a Colletts tour group we visited this idyllic setting. It came for the duration our own campus guide, Who entertained us through out. We had three meals a day, initially the group was over concerned on food hygiene and water purity not eating green salad etc. Once there concerns had been eliminated and we feasted...

We enjoyed our stay at the lodge for 3 nights. The cabana was very comfortable. Service was very good. Enjoyed most of excursions. Suggest to schedule the canopy tree bridge walk in early morning so we can see more birds.

We loved the stay here. We had three full days of excursions and two nights but if we'd known the set up was going to be so beautiful we would have stayed longer. We had a lovely private cabana type hut a short way from the main house. It was cleverly designed with a gorgeous bed covered by a romantic...

This is the smaller of two properties in Puerto Maldonado operated by Inkaterra. The other is Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica. Hacienda Inception is newer and smaller. We were advised that Inception is a 7km boat ride from the port in Puerto Maldonado whist the Reserva Amazonica is 15km. From what we learned whilst staying at the property, you are able to...

Good: Very friendly guides and staff. Seriously, very hospitable! Thoughtful; give you bottle of water right away when pick up from airport. It was 89 degrees F. A lot of Adventurous things to do such as walking across shaking wooden bridges 30 feet above ground and trucking through the most original paths in the rain forest. However, if you want...
