We stayed at this lodge for 3 nights 4 days, more than enough to relax and see the Amazon. Our room was excellent, we paid extra for a plunge pool in our room and well worth the money. Following every excursion we definitely enjoyed the refreshing experience. The room was huge and totally open to the outside( just screening). The...

Takes almost a full day to get there from Cusco or Lima. Bungalows and central lodge are airy and very well kept. Food is excellent. They claim to have 14 excursions but guides discourage small groups or individual choices, so not all excursions are available. Piranha fishing trip cost more but was worth it. Other excursions were hot, and the...

We decided to visit this part of Peru as the starting point for our tour. This gave us time to adjust our bodies to the climate and drink plenty of coca tea in preparation for the higher altitudes to come. The lodge is a great place to stay. The rooms are large and well appointed with hot/cold running water showers...

We had an awesome time at the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica over the cours of 3 nights and 4 days. It is a 85% all inclusive, with enough included tours and trips to make 3-4 days a good value despite the high price. The Good: -Inkaterra makes it simple to get there. Once you get off of the plane, you walk...

We stayed 3 nights in a superior cabana at this Reserve on the Madre de Dios River in Amazon Basin. The cabana was clean and very well maintained. There was no TV, WiFi or phones for the entire complex and we did not miss any of these. The staff and Guides were polite and very helpful. My wife and I...

Staying here was like being on a second honeymoon for us. Everything was beautiful and impeccably maintained. Our cabana was right in front of the river so we could lay in bed or lounge on our hammocks and watch river life go by, so peaceful and relaxing and having no wifi helped us to switch off. The large king size...

Having arrived by boat hot and sweaty you are greeted extremely warmly ond offered cold flannelettes. The lodge and cabanas are designed so that you have the impression of being outside within the jungle but with a high level of comfort. The food and service was in every case (we were there for two evenings) exceptional and beyond our expectations....

The only way to get here is by boat on the river (ca. 40 mins), after a 20 min drive from Puerto Maldonado airport, but fear not: the Inkaterra team will take care of the transport from and to the airport, including printing your boarding pass for your flight back (note that before the boat trip can commence, there is...

Our family of 5 stayed in two cabanas for three nights in August 2014. Staying here was a tough call. There many good reviews, but some have reservations. We found that the reviews are largely accurate. There is lots to like: we liked the accommodation and loved being in the jungle with the sounds of birds all the time. We...

If you are visiting the area this hotel is a perfect base. Inkaterra work very hard to maintain a balance between comfort and being environmentally aware. Considering it is in the middle of nowhere the food is excellent, the service friendly and efficient and the activities and experiences amazing.
