Simply the most unique place we stayed during 2 months in South America. We felt so welcome by the staff and our stay included a tour of the ship and a lovely breakfast in the morning. The rooms are cozy but in the best possible way, and being a little out of town means its really quiet and unpolluted. Really...

After a long bus journey, we were warmly welcomed onto the historic and splendid Yavari. Special thanks to Flora for making a stay so comfortable, helping us to book a trip to the islands the next day, organising a taxi and supplying hot water bottles. Plus she made us a delightful breakfast each morning, at a time that suited us....

Staying on the Yavari felt so special. We came aboard & got the tour of the boat now it's restored, beautiful. Our cabin was compact but cosy with lovely fluffy duvets. We were the only people staying & got dinner on board as well as a great breakfast the next morning. Personal service all the way including hot water bottles...

The Yavari is a wonderfully unique place to stay but what makes the stay memorable and worthwhile is the staff. Giselle is a caring, competent Captain who is also a wonderful cook. Her coffee is simply wonderful. She made sure both my brother and I were comfortable and cared for. Tea was waiting for us on arrival & the night...

My family (including 2 schoolkids) had a terrific time on the Yavari. The boat itself is literally a museum so our kids had an awesome town running all over the boat after other visitors had left.Captain Giselle was very helpful, even getting medicine for my wife to help her with her altitude sickness. All the positives in other reviews match...

We enjoyed a fantastic two night stay on the Yavari in April. Captain Giselle, Henry and Malu looked after us well and the breakfasts were really something special - especially Giselle's delicious "eggs of the Captain"!!! Our cabin was cosy and the nightly hot water bottles a delight. The shared bathroom was very clean and user friendly. We used the...

We stayed in the Yavari for one night... and we wish we could have stayed longer!!! The ship is simply amazing! The captain Giselle and crew, Henry, were very accommodating, helpful, friendly and passionate about what they do! Breakfast was one of the best we had during our whole trip in South America! The story of the Yavari is very...

I stayed on the Yavari for two nights in December 2012 and it was a unique and amazing experience. The location of the ship was very beautiful--on lake Titicaca, with a long wooden bridge to connect the ship with the shore. The shore itself is actually a backyard of another four-star hotel. By the time I was there, there were...

We stayed on the Yavari in October 2012 for 2 nights. It was a special experience and something very different from the high price tourist hotels outside Puno and the cheaper hotels in town. Giselle and the crew were really helpful and considerate and could not have done anything more to make our stay a better one. Giselle helped with...

“The cabins are "cozy." We were the only guests so they let us use the whole boat for our stuff, but if there are other guests then putting all of your stuff in your cabin could be crowded.”

“Take the top bed if you are an early riser and don't mind to be awaken by the light. Otherwise, use the lower bed.”

“Perhaps one of the rooms away from the watercloset will be best. Also, remember it's an old ship so the rooms are very, very small but you will love it here.”
