This hotel was part of a tour package. Located on an island connected to the mainland by a land bridge, this is reported to stop the natural circulation of water in the Puno bay, contributing to algae bloom. The lobby area was tasteful, the room however, was tired and in need of a make over, hand basin, bench top and...

We stayed a couple of nights for visiting lake Titicaca. The hotel is conveniently located in the outskirts of the city of Puno in a peninsula with magnificent views over the lake. The rooms are pretty old and have no true air conditioned. We had dinner in the restaurant, the quality of food is good but very expensive (better get...

I read several reviews that were negative about this hotel and we almost didn't select it. Either the negative reviews were entered much earlier or they just had an unusually high expectation. We were with a group of 10 people. All of us agreed that the hotel was excellent. The physical condition of everything was excellent. Service was excellent. Food...

We arrived in Puno, Peru a day earlier due to the National strike. We were at our Hotel, Libertador Lake Titicaca at almost midnight. There was ample supply of Coca tea at the lobby of the hotel for tired and unwell travellers like us. Our room was small . We woke up in the morning feeling a bit better and...

This hotel is perfectly situated for views of Lake Titicaca and Puno. It is placed on a promontory with views almost all round 360 degarees, either towards Puno or across the lake to the Uros Islands. Our room (438) looked our across the lake and at sunrise it was stunning. It was a bit small however; a bit difficult to...

So many people have said ‘wonderful hotel’, ‘excellent restaurant’, that I am puzzled. This is my summary: - Predominantly tour groups (their notices are up in the lobby – it’s that sort of place) - Public areas are good – excellent picture windows of the beautiful lake views - Room product is VERY tired and small. It’s 20 years old...

Just stayed here for two nights. Hotel was located far from city centre so was quiet and peaceful but means it was a hassle to go into the city (for dinner for example). Otherwise fantastic views of the lake especially sunrise and sunset. Views were also great from the hotel lounge but waited for more than 20 minutes for a...

We arrived at 18.50 and the hotel had all our registration forms ready printed to sign and all the room keys attached. Our luggage went all the way to Puno on the Andean Explorer so we had to wait an hour or so for it to arrive. We got off the train at a halt very close to the hotel...

My wife and I spent a couple of nights at the Libertador Hotel at Lake Titicaca and really enjoyed the property. The hotel is not good to see the outside, but the view from the hotel is fantastic. Only one is worth. It is very quiet and quite modern. It is isolated from the city, so it is impossible to escape on foot. There is only one restaurant within, not exactly cheap. There is the spa. The rooms are small but...
