EGI Albergo Hotel is not an expensive hotel. I think it is a mid-range hotel.

My family and I stayed in a family suite at a promotional price of PHP2800 per day. The Family Suite had two bed rooms: one with matrimonial bed and the other bedroom with 2 single beds. The matrimonial bedroom has its own T&B. There is another T&B at the sala. The sala has a sofa with a TV and TV stand. The beds are made of ordinary wood. Just beside it is a dining table for 4 and kitchen sink with cabinets. There is no microwave or other cooking stuff. The sala is provided with a fan. There is no AC in the suite. The room is spacious. And so is the hallway for a two way vehicle traffic. There is a basement parking that is perfectly lighted for security and provided with a security guard.

For a family with a minimal budget, this place is affordable and just the right place.

The staff are friendly and helpful.

Stayed with my parents, my wife, and my 3 month old baby. Location is very ideal, distant from the busy streets of baguio city yet tourust destinations are very accessible. Staffs are very accomodating. Will definitely go back to this hotel when we got a chance.

I had my reservation made through their website and thought that we were fortunate as they offered a discounted price for the family "suite" room. Considering the pictures in their website, the place looks perfect( wuth 2 bedrooms, ref, microwave) and also considering that it is new. BUT to our dismay, the place was EMPTY and CHEAP.... Cannot be considered as a "suite"!!! thepainted wallings were still ROUGH all over the room, NO ref and microwave (they took it because it was on promo basis without telling us), the bedroom they claimed to have queen sized bed was NOT queen after all (just a double bed), defective shower (considering it is still new!!) and most of all, it is located at the UPPER BASEMENT with no nice view at all (only the old fence of the neighboring house) with the noise of the dog and chicken sounds at night....the front desk had a terrible attitude in dealing with us and very minimal employees. No wonder why even on a holy week wherein many hotels were overcrowded, they only had 10 visitors at that time. Place was EMPTY and CHEAP..You can still find other place to stay for much lower price and much nicer accomodation. theONLY thing that was not nice about being in Baguio is staying in this place....

My family and I, planned to stay in Albergo Hotel three nights, but, left quickly after only one. Staff were pleasant, but, the building and rooms are too old looking. This, after they have renovated the place, still was from when the American's were there 20 years ago. No upgrades... The beds were unconfortable, and the hot water stopped, just after 2 mins. After complaining to staff, they stated, "Oh, sorry." LOL I even showed them an email from the hotel, indicating we were allowed two comp breakfast, but, was told," it was sent in error, and they would look into it." Don't waste your time or money. Too many nice places in the area.

My family and I wandered in to this place because we had no reservation elsewhere. We were given a "family suite" in the basement. It had a nice layout with kitchenette/ TV area combo and two separate bedrooms. It would have been nice for my kids to sleep in a separate room, but it smelled musty and the furniture was old and did not look clean. There were dead bugs laying on the desk.

I mentioned it to my mom and she requested to get us a room on the 9th floor beside her room.
The room upstairs was definitely nicer and cleaner. The downside was taking the elevator upstairs. The elevator smelled of toxic fumes. I was really bummed. We went to Baguio to escape the pollution of Manila, but I could barely breathe in the elevator. The only plus was the hot water in the shower.

We checked in this hotel due to exhaustion as we spent hours trying to find our rented house. which we found out was a scam later on. The hotel had a promo so we took it as we were very tired and sleepy.
Place is ok considering the promo price but I wouldnt stay there paying full price. Nothing wrong with the place. Our room was clean and somewhat comfortable. Only basic accomodation.. Service was a bit lacking but friendly. I'd suggest order breakfast. Costs.150php for a tapsilog. It was good. A plus would be dining at the Italian restaurant inside the hotel. The pizza is pugon baked and is really good.

Proposal was already sent on my email and confirmed the reservation to one of their staff who contacted me. After 15 minutes, someone else would say that they are already fully booked. Good thing I haven't deposited the payment yet.

We stayed at the hotel for the launching of BOracay Rhum and we got the Family Suite promo rate at 2850 all in charges with 2 bedrooms, 2 T&B with dining set, sofa, and cable tv. Not to mention their free WIFI access.

Actually were 6 and the 2 single bed can fit even 2 person in a bed, hmm... for an average size ofcourse! The master bedroom with queen size bed is fitted for a couple. The promo rate doesn't include breakfast and I've read from their website that the ref and microwave is only for Deluxe Suite so I'm not expecting any. The staffs are very accommodating I even ask them to reheat our food and they've given it for free.

During our stay there are a lot of guests inside the hotel. The Pilipinas Got Talent staff from Abs Cbn we're also their guest aside from the Tanduay Models for the event. At night time the party lasted till midnight. You can see from the view of your room if your on the 8th or 9th floor the pine trees and city view! Next time I'll book my room in the De Luxe and Superior Rooms so I would have a better view.

I recommend this hotel! Tip for those who travel: google first and inquire so you know what to expect... Perfect accommodation also depends on your budget!

I booked a room thru an agent for our 2 nights stay in baguio. The agent gave me albergo hotel and residences. I trusted that since it's a residence hotel, it's a decent one. But it's the other way around.

Let me start with my experience with the agent. She gave me photos of the rooms yet when i reached baguio, she gave me a different unit. She said it is walking distance to SM, but it's not. It is near wright park, the mansion and ketchup food community. Ok, that's one good point. Though if you want to check SM, legarda road or session road, it's a little far and traffic was also crazy.

We arrived early which i informed the agent i might arrive early. She said it's ok to leave our luggage in the lobby. She did not let us checked in until 2pm. (No consideration)

The room was old. Dirty. There's sofa which is also old and you wouldn't want to try to sit in... there's a room, with no aircon, bad ventillation. Toilet is small, dated, rusty, but the warm shower is working.

There's no TV. The automatic thermo is also old and broken, wifi not working due to unsettled bill (it was showing in chrome when you try to connect). In short it is like a miserable place to spend a night with no choice. The price i think is too high for its quality.

I cancelled my second night, as i talked to the agent, the money i paid (in cash) can no longer be refunded. I told her we are not comfortable with the unit she gave us. She still did not refund the second day. I let it go. I still went and find another hotel which is more decent than this one. I learned a lot from this experience.

First time am rating poor to any of my reviews.

I've been to Baguio last week to attend company seminar. We stayed there for 3days and based on the experienced I had with Albergo-Hotel. I like their spacious convention hall with free wifi. This is the only place that gives me comfortable service with accomodating employees and the place is very accessible in other tourist attraction. When we stayed there, I know they offered promo rates. I want to stay there for longer time and looking forward to come back again to see the beauty of Baguio.

is there a condo type accomodation where we can do our own cooking..
Answer from Pareshbhimani
Luzon, Philippines21 contributions26 helpful votes
It's a hotel room where every room has a ref, oven and sink / dish washing facility. There are no condo type units in this hotel. Look for options on AirBNB. There are many available there
