We were pleasantly surprised when we stayed there for one night 2 weeks ago. It was the first time for us there. We booked it last minute, after looking at other Cavite resorts online. They didn't require any reservation fee or card details, although they do accept Visa and Mastercard, which we availed of. They were very accommodating on the phone, when I made the reservation just a few days before. They entertained all my questions. Their website doesn't promote all their amenities enough, so I was surprised to learn that they did have a teamaker, a small fridge, a closet, and a 40-inch LCD tv in the room. The only thing missing is a hair dryer, and I found their towel hooks/rods a bit lacking. Their bathrooms are so nicely decorated, as well as the room interiors.

I think the owner was going for an overall feel of a small & modern type of spanish/tropical/country resort, which we appreciated very much. Everywhere you look, you will be greeted by the little intricate architectural design details of the doors, windows, banisters, walkways, even the gazebos around the pools. I really hope management will not let the place go, and have periodic professional maintenance of the amenities, as well as the staff.

All the staff we spoke with were pleasant, had the right balance of being friendly but reserved, at the same time. I've just purchased a voucher from ensogo, and can't wait til we use it for some much needed relaxation time here at la traviesa.

most of the staff are friendly and accommodating. even from the time i made my reservation. they allowed us to check-in an hour early. the bathroom fixtures are nice. hot and cold shower: not a problem. night swimming is perfect because the water in the pool is warm. my kids felt at home. Easy to travel even if you'll take public transpo. only downside is the wifi.

The hotel resort’s main features are the two swimming pools – a kiddie pool and an infinity pool.
I’m not very good with measurements but that kiddie pool was huge!
The kids had a lot of room to chase each other in the water and do all sorts of fun things even during peak hours when there were many who came in for a swim.

We stayed Mar 22-23 (2d, 1n).

Thanks to the deal from Ensogo, we got value for our money!

I could not find a decent pic of this place anywhere on the internet. So we just decided to try our luck (after reading some of the reviews here).

We were amazed by how big our room is! It has a small receiving/living area and dining area. It has a veranda for smokers like us. The A/C is cold (which is a big deal for us). Food is decent (we enjoyed the Pancit Canton, serving is for 2-3) and not overpriced. We had a call around 9pm asking us what time would our breakfast would be served and what dishes do we want.

There were couple of people by the pool (the pools are clean, btw) but it's ok.

All in all, i would recommend this to my family and friends. The location is near where we lived and it's a great value for money. It was a very chilaxing stay!

If you're looking at having a staycation spot in Cavite (outside Tagaytay), I highly suggest La Traviesa. Forget the Microtel Inn & Suites. La Traviesa has way better customer service, ambiance and facilities. (I stayed at the Microtel Inn once and it was very disappointing).

Why do I recommend La Traviesa?

La Traviesa has a beautifully landscaped garden, a "lovers' lane," as I call it, clean and well-maintained swimming pools, spacious and clean rooms, a couple of videoke rooms for those who love to sing.

Let's talk about the rooms. It's not your typical hotel room that is cramped up and you have to walk sideways to get to the other side of the room, has a bulk TV, and that the only thing you can do there is lay down and watch TV or bore yourself to sleep.

The rooms at La Traviesa has a LOT of space-- I'd say double of what you'd usually expect in standard or deluxe rooms. Here, you can walk around if you need to practice a speech, lounge on the wide sofa, do yoga, practice a dance routine, have a romantic dinner (yes, it's THAT spacious) or stay at the veranda to either watch the sunrise or sunset (depends on which side of the building you're at).

The color theme is not boring at all. It's warm and is very welcoming. The bathroom has decent space and elegantly designed.

I want to share more, but I'm getting tired from work. Hm... what else?

Things you can do here:

Go on a date
Swim
Take a stroll
Jog
Dine al fresco (garden or veranda)
Drink
Sing
Dance
Hold a party
Have a surprise romantic al fresco dinner (the staff will be more than happy to set this up for you)
Eat with family or friends by the pool
Chill
Propose to your girlfriend/boyfriend
Take photos (of the sunset, sunrise, the garden, of yourself, etc.)
Check out the chef's herbal garden
Do yoga
Camp out (there are tents for rent)
Do somersaults (in the room or in the garden)
Read (by the pool, in the room or in the garden)
Meditate
Have a hilot massage (it was so good I fell asleep and snored)
Learn how to swim (3-foot pool for kids and 5-foot pool for adults)
Ask for a discount when you come back ; )
Stare at the farm nearby
Observe how fast the sun sets
Watch TV
Sleep

Our cousins planned a family outing consisting of five to sex families. Since most of relatives live within south area, the organizers of the event decided to choose an affordable, private and clean pool. In Cavite, it's rare find to have this kind of resort. Fortunately, we are able to come across in the internet La Traviesa. Honestly on my part, I'm a bit cynical because the entrance is very affordable and it looks nice in the picture. We stayed overnight in Casa Mayor that is good for 4paxs at 4500/night. It was a bit far from the pool area but it's very spacious and clean. What give the room away are the comforters. If you have no kids or not too particular with the beddings it's quite alright.
Surprisingly the pool area is clean and well maintained. Not too crowded because there are only 6 Nipa Huts, one 3 large cabanas.
The staff are all accommodating and the food is affordable. From 80-300/meal.
I highly recommend this private place for your family and friends :-)

I bought a voucher from Ensogo for P1,800 all I could say is that it's worth it! As someone living in Cavite, there are a lot of resorts here but La Traviesa definitely stands out because it's simple yet beautiful. It took a while for me to locate the main office as there's not much staff here, probably because it's not peak season (we stayed on September).

The rooms and are clean and the toilet/bath is equipped with basic amenities. They have a spacious bed and offers affordable food, which were very tasty especially the tapsilog! They also have a mini-ref and a big television with cable.

The resort has two clean swimming pools – an infinity pool and a huge kiddie pool. The resort is surrounded by greenery view, which is one of the reasons why I feel very relaxed. I didn't have much interactions with the staff but they're courteous and helpful.

I bought another voucher and I can't wait to stay again in La Traviesa. It's definitely worth it!

I stayed in this hotel twice while I was in Cavite on business.

My bed room was quite spacious. The swimming pool looks inviting. The parking space is ample. There is even a moderately-sized multi-function hall for events. Food and accommodation is reasonably-priced and the quality is pretty much what is expected from a provincial hotel. P 2,600 a night with breakfast,

However, during both stays, one thing struck me the most. This hotel is ridiculously understaffed!

In both my visits, I saw only three people when I arrived and left in the morning and when I got back at night: one guard, the office/maintenance staff and the kitchen staff.

This means:

1. There was no room service when I had a sudden craving for food or a drink. Meals had to be pre-arranged because the kitchen isn't open 24 hours.

2. The guard closes the property's front gate at 7PM. If you have plans to party at night, be ready to wait a while at the gate until someone hears your car's incessant honking and opens the gate for you.

3. Most calls to the operator or front desk were left unanswered when I called between 7 to 8AM or after 7PM because the hotel staff were probably not yet in.

I was told that this is the only decent hotel in the Gen Trias area. So, my advice is stay if you want, but be warned that service is not what is expected from a standard hotel.

We spent one night to celebrate my sister's civil wedding. At first I did not know that there is something really surprising about the hotel. I truly have not heard anything about the hotel before and it looks kind of too small outside. When we arrieved, I observed that the hotel has small group of employees, but I do understand because it's not peak season. The receptionist who did our check in process was a bit shy but doing her job fine. My brother in law's booking was with breakfast, so upon check in, we were asked to choose on their menu and give our preferred exact time of serving the food at their mini restaurant by the pool. I think it is for them to prepare our food in advance. However, some of their services weren't 24 hrs. Sometimes, noone is answering calls from the operator, room service will come to your room before 7pm to ask for any other food orders and tell you it is already their last call. But we had no worries about this because we were ready some packed foods! Good thing! 😊😊😊

What I really liked their swimiming pool! If you love taking creative photos, you can enjoy capturing moments from there. I even swam twice in our one night stay. I can not help myself not to have fun with their pool because it is quite huge and clean!

But all in all, I still would like to suggest this hotel for team building, family bonding, or even honeymoon for those on budget!!! 👍👍👍

Hi Julie! The La Traviesa Staff are very accommodating, Im sure they will arrange for your request, like we did when we asked to install a longer bed in the room since our resource speaker was a 6-footer guy. The cost for his Villa Room was P3,250, a discounted rate from P5,000, with free ala carte breakfast. We also took the spacious Villa Family Room composed of 4 queen beds at P5,850, a discounted rate from the P9,000 regular price. They have cheaper rooms at P2,500 for single rooms.
