On arrival with a "White" taxi who negotiated a price instead of going by the meter, our car was searched and we were sniffed by a security dog, passed through a metal detector and guards. We were met with a beautiful reception Maryann with perfect English, assigned room 1102 with a view of the city, not highrises. The bed was King King size. I had to make my way to get close to my wife. By the time I get to her, I was exhausted already. Fell asleep instead. They provide unlimited bottles of water, great feature. Television programs were limited, non intuitive, confusing, eventually needed an electrician for guidance and fix the reception. The light switch arrangement was UNFRIENDLY to normal people to say the least, never mind seniors with limitations. All switches were labeled so small that you need a magnifying glass to see and all were placed behind a bedside table lamp. Hard to reach. The shower hose needed fixing, the tooth brushes were very nice and soft. So were the bathrooms. Overall very pleasant.

My husband and I, stayed for 3 nights after disembarking a cruise and New World fulfilled everything I was looking for.
Great pool area, comfortable bed and close to restaurants.
Room was very clean, but if I had to be picky it could possibly be due a refurbishment; particularly the bathroom fitments.
All staff are professional and very friendly. From the security door staff (a big shout out to Jermy the terrier K9 sniffer dog), porters, to the pool & reception staff. Thank you.
After check out you are allowed to use the pool area and they also provided an area to have a shower before leaving the hotel. Any food drinks can be paid for directly. They can also provide a hotel transfer to the airport (chargeable)

I stayed at the New World Hotel Makati on two occasions in June totally 18 x nights. I had also stayed at this hotel a few times previously and returned after frustrating experiences at other properties in Makati as I stay in Manila a few times a year
I have to say here I find the customer service experience in all touch points of this hotel to be faultless and extremely warming and the entire team understand customer first !
The location of this hotel is as good as it gets being directly across the street to Greenbelt Shopping Complex giving numerous restaurant opportunities including Hard Rock Cafe and a wonderful variation of retail shopping including Landmark and SM and many other famous brands all within a short walk from this hotel. There are also money changers in the shopping complex and laundry options very close
The rooms are a good size including a decent sized well appointed bathroom. The bed I find to be extremely comfortable with pillow options that will please anyone I am sure
The big point of difference here is outstanding customer service obviously reflective of some very good training I would suggest
The Front Office Team and Concierge are very professional and knowledgeable and it is a pleasure to interact with them
The breakfast is excellent with a very wide selection of food to cater for anyone's needs
The Lobby Bar is a real highlight and a great place to relax and what I like here is the way you are personally greeted by staff here and they often strike up a good conversation which I really enjoy as a great personal touch
I have also spent many hours relaxing at the swimming pool and the service there is excellent with a good selection of drinks and snacks
In summary I highly recommend this hotel extremely highly and I am looking forward to returning again in October

Club sandwich and a couple of drinks. Club sandwich was very good. Toast not bread + Not one huge unmanageable stack but two manageable 'slices' + Not over-lathered with mayonnaise + Young lady server was prompt, professional and when there was a small mistake in the order, quickly corrected it.
I get a 20% discount as a health club member so P1300ish feels like a good deal for the food, drinks and service.

We stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days during Golden Week. It was my first time in Manila, but Makati, where the hotel is located, is a very modern and comfortable city. I was wondering which hotel to stay at among the hotels around Greenbelt, but after reading this review, I decided on New World Makati Hotel. First of all, all the staff were friendly and polite. The pool is average, but it is quite large and you can feel the tropical atmosphere. I also used the fitness center, and there were 5 treadmills, so I was able to use it without waiting even during the morning rush. I stayed in a room with lounge access, and it was a comfortable stay, just as the reviews said. The club lounge was bright, had a nice view, and had a calm atmosphere. The clientele was mostly businessmen, and there were also families spending their time quietly. The air conditioning was not too strong, so it was a comfortable space to relax. Breakfast was only served in the lounge, but there were several dishes to choose from the menu, and there was a small buffet table, so it was more than enough. There were only drinks and simple snacks at tea time. There was a wide variety of dishes at cocktail time, and all of them were delicious. They can make various cocktails if you ask. All the lounge staff were attentive and worked well as a team, and I could sense their professionalism. Jim in particular was very helpful, helping me out with various things during my stay and preparing original cocktails for me. There is the Greenbelt in front of the hotel, as well as the Landmark, Glorietta, and SM Mall, so just looking around is enjoyable. There is also the Sunday market held nearby on Sundays, so you can get a feel for the local atmosphere. Along the road behind the hotel, there is the famous halo-halo shop Milky Way and a laundry, which are very convenient, but please note that you can only withdraw cash with a Japanese cash card at the ATM inside the shopping mall. Overall it was a great stay, and I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity to visit Makati.

lucky to have been invited to attend a workshop in the glasshouse function hall. very conducive for learning. the sound system is very sophisticated. the wait staff is very attentive and courteous.
wifi is free and fast. food is delectable. love their dessert spread during our lunch break.

Has to be one of the best hotel we have ever stayed in! The staff make sure everything is perfect, they are friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was amazing, spacious, well furnished and clean. The bed was comfortable, the walk in wardrobe very spacious and the bathroom with both bath tub and shower also very spacious. Highly recommend Club Residence facilities. The hotel itself is in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the many malls that are in this area of Makati.Everywhere was kept spotlessly clean and there can be no complaints about the hotel itself or the staff. Big thanks to Crizia, Wilson,Cate & Rachelle so friendly and always willing to help out. On returning to Manila we would definitely stay here again, we would not even consider an alternative hotel, this one is perfect!

I love their brunch! They have a little taho station, and I missed eating it, just like when I used to live in the Philippines. Norman, who works at the cafe, patiently kept warming up the taho for me since I had at least four bowls. I can’t answer your question and totally agree with you that not only in the kitchen section but everyone should wear a name tag. I usually ask their names or let them write their names on a note. Maybe it’s the hotel policy that employee should not wear name tags.. not sure if it is .. sorry mate
I did see one smoking area in the lounge on 24th floor.
Some guest were sitting in the outside garden having a smoke between their meals.
So I would assume their is a designated smoking area in the main restaurant 1st floor providing these facilities for hotel guest.
There are more places to choose from in the Makati area.
