Once again, Marriott Manila outdid itself. We’ve stayed here a couple of times in the past, primarily as a transitory stay between flights. Yet again, we found ourselves wanting lodging after an extremely late flight in from Cebu with a very late flight the next evening to the US. I messaged the hotel to let them know that we would have a late evening/early morning check-in, required transportation to and from the airport for a large group and requested a late checkout. They arranged everything perfectly, including a 4pm checkout, despite a very busy check-in day and even allowed us to stay in the executive lounge for the couple of hours we had to wait between checkout and transport to the airport. Rooms were spacious and all 3 rooms were upgraded. Executive lounge breakfast was exceptional as usual. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help. This is definitely our go-to place whenever we are in/out of the Manila airport.

I've been a longtime Marriott Bonvoy member, and I reaped the rewards of being a loyal Marriott fan. With that comes upgrades and amazing breakfasts, lounges, free or otherwise. Dining-wise, this hotel has everything and I can imagine myself staying here everyday, should I someday win the lottery and can come to afford living here daily.

Sadly, we were there only for the night, arriving from MNL and we leave first thing in the morning to catch another regional flight.

The food in Marriott Cafe is amazing. We got there late in the night and the 4 of my party of 5 enjoyed the local buffet of dim sum, isaw-isaw, local pastries, etc. I could stay there for hours but alas, it's time to sleep and the restaurant is closing down for the night.

About the room - we had 2 balcony rooms that are connected, and we both got upgrades overlooking the grounds, the park, and the Manila skyline. The room is spacious and we got a 2 queen bed(s) each. The only Con I could say is that the bathroom has that electronic privacy shade, so we have to keep that shade down all the time.

We got free pastry as a welcome gift, and the grounds are nice. The location is also great because it's walking distance to the terminal we had to be at early the next day. Unfortunately, I still needed to have a taxi take us because there's 5 passengers and 10 luggages plus carry-ons, personal bags, elderly, etc. That cost $50 for the convenience and comfort because September in Manila is hella hot.

Now, the main event; the lounge. We got a lounge access for 2, and had to pay $25 for the additional 3. Well worth it. Do go there. You won't regret it. Food galore, overlooking the grounds, super spacious and furnished, and hardly is anyone there during the time that we were there. The chef can make you anything you want. Try the fish, give kudos to the chef, and tip well. Exemplary service and outstanding food. Do NOT miss it.

Props to Marriott. It was the familys favorite hotel during our travel.

I managed a 2,000 person live-in event in 2019 at the Marriott in August 2019, for which I previously gave a raving review. I am back this time to give a review of our just concluded international 4-day live-in event with over 2,500 attendees.

Like before, we used almost all the hotels at the Newport City, with Marriott as the anchor. Managing a huge event with participants from over 40 countries in 5 continents is never easy, and we glad to have Marriott stage the event with us. Being one of the early organizers of large international events after the pandemic, we are naturally very cautious, but Marriott held our hand and walked us through, not only giving us what we needed, and not only adhering to what were stipulated in our agreements, but went over and beyond what was agreed to ensure that we had a successful event.

Like in 2019, the rooms were impeccable, the common areas were well maintained; the breakfast was superb; the airport shuttle service was on time; the Grand Ballroom facilities and the MGB Exhibition Hall were simply astounding and allowed for us to hold sessions with dining and breakout session facilities for over 2,200 people simultaneously; the food was always aplenty and in good quality; the executive lounge was spacious and provided everything that an event planner would need or dream of; and finally, the service and attention to details are the main reasons why we keep coming back to the Marriott Manila.

Special thanks to the executive leadership led by very approachable and always helpful Newport President Mr. Kingson Sian, Marriott GM Bruce Winton, Finance Director Rosanna Lee, Executive Chef Meik Brammer, Resident Manager Melvin Angeles, Marriott managers Anna Tayoto, Nico Santos and Merbie Magsombol, Newport Manager Arthur San Juan, Savoy Manager Jean Sy, Hilton Asst. Director Sheila Girao, Sheraton Director Rhea Galvez and Manager Michelle Lee. Special shout out to executive lounge manager Terence and dining head Ely for always taking good care of us.
Our event would not have been successful without your personal support.

This is one the biggest Marriott I stayed so far.
This is an old hotel, but
It is well maintained, a very clean hotel

All the hotel employees are very friendly
And, always very accommodating.

It started with my airport pick up.
Kevin, patiently waited for my arrival
We were delayed in disembarking from the plane
Since, there was no available bridge
And, we had to wait for the bus
To pick up all the passengers
Kevin also helped me checked in
And, he also carried my luggage
To my room
He is a very good Bellman
He does his job very well.

Ashley, at the MClub, was another employee
Who did her job very well
She checked me in perfectly,
Giving me all the information about the hotel
Gave me a beautiful room
On the 11th floor and did it in a few minutes
I didn't have to wait in line.

MClub staff who served me well
We're Sophia and Christina.
They also did their job very well
Inspite the fact that they were still trainees

Jade, another Bellman, was very kind enough
To book a not expensive car service to the airport.
And, he also helped me with luggage while waiting
Thanks, Jade

Chef Dan at the Exec Lounge served a splendid surprise- chicken Tinola and honey glazed BBQ ribs! The tangi-Tinola taste of chili leaves, chili pepper and ginger will make you dream that it’s dinner at the lounge all day! And of course, it’s unfair not to mention Chefs Benz and Alvin’s-dedication in indulging my guest’s craving for seasoned (healthy) fried chicken livers on ‘toyomansi’ sauce (by special demand), and their masterpieces of Lapu-Lapu in sweet chili sauce, the Bulalo (that is to die for-the meat on the bones melts in your mouth. Chef Rickson at the lounge for breakfast is always there to indulge (yours and mine’s) morning cravings upon request! Let’s not forget to say hi to Jeffsey and Ericka at the Marriott Café- always there to make sure you get your “specially requested table, the sweetest mangoes, and the espresso that makes you wake up early with no regrets! And my stays will always be the best delivered by the ladies (and gentlemen) of the lounge- Ashia, Fatima, Bettina and their crew along with Mr. Ely- and it’s always a pleasure Ms. Terens stopping by to make sure your time at the lounge is the best of every day. And don’t forget Miss Sheila’s crew at housekeeping- she sends in the best: Alejandra, Francis, Richie, and Chaddy making sure they’re accommodating my out of time zone schedules and that the end of my day is turned down at its best. All of them deliver the best because Sir Melvin Angeles expects them best for everyone at the Manila

We stayed in a double guest room, everything in and about the room and the entire service experience was amazing.

My organisation held the year end celebration at the Marriott, part of the arrangement were rooms offered to staff who would like to stay overnight. Looking back I should have booked a longer stay.

There was a little over a hundred staff and overseas business guests who availed of the offer. Marriott set aside a function room to handle the check-in for our big group. The open coffee/tea bar setup was a nice touch. It was that time of year when guest arrivals and departures was expected to pick up considerably. The front desk staff dedicated to our group demonstrated exceptional composure and professionalism in looking after the entire process, coordinating with the backend staff to get the rooms out as soon as they became available, literally staying the entire day without breaks from about 10AM to a little past 7PM until the last guest was processed. Props to that team, exceptional calmness and reading of the rom certainly reduced the fraying of nerves.

I appreciated the nice compliment sent to my room at the end of the day. I certainly look forward to staycationing at the Marriott again soon.

Good, clean, spacious rooms. It has 2 restaurants and a cafe. What stands out is the service. Exceptional. The staff was very warm and courteous. The service was super quick. Specially the IRD, Concierge and housekeeping. Very limited vegetarian and Indian food options on the menu but they have an Indian Chef so you can check with him. Very close to the airport and there's a shopping mall and convenience stores next door. Special thanks to the entire IRD, Concierge and HK staff and to Kim Sarat, CJ, Gallegos GS, Justin and Jade. The Filipino people are very warm and welcoming

Tips for travelers: SG visa is valid for entry to Philippines. No accomodation or bank documents required. But check before your date of travel. Make sure to generate a QR code from etravel.ph. Difficult to find sim cards in convenience stores so it's better to buy it at the airport before the exit. Grab worked very well for cabs and food delivery as well for buying anything from a convenience store. Numerous Indian Food delivery options on Grab and Foodpanda. Smart sims very value for money with 7 day pack costing about 150 PHP

Stayed here Dec 29-Jan 3.

This hotel is strategically located just off Terminal 3 of NAIA & can be accessed by foot. It is also connected to a mall with a Starbucks and a casino.

Its main strength is its high degree of friendly service practically from anyone donning the hotel uniform.

Of noteworthy mention is the serving staff at the Marriott Cafe which offers the daily breakfast buffet. They were very attentive & provided anything that I needed. Thank you Ericka & Joshua.

I am however most impressed with Trish, a hostess at the same outlet. I've stayed 90+ nights within the Marriott chain spanning over 3 continents and she's the first employee that I've met who made an effort to know my name. My hat off to you, Trish.

This is an outstanding property! The hotel is close to the airport in a safe area. The staff are well trained and the rooms are properly appointed for a 5 star property. The amenities are good, including two well equipped fitness centers.

Also, for the seasoned travelers, the executive lounge food is excellent. The breakfast is plentiful and the "dinner" has very good variety and delicious desserts! On a side note, the executive lounge food offerings at the Manila Marriott are far better than the Sheraton next door. In fact, the comparison is not even close!

To be fair, this is a true 5 star property. So why do I only give the hotel a 4 rating? For only one reason -- the environment of the main restaurant at the hotel.

Also to be fair, the morning buffet in the main restaurant (called the "Marriott Cafe") has a large - and tasty - food offering. However, the seating arrangement and overall atmosphere is similar to a large, lifeless, uninspiring military cafeteria! The tables are very close together as the hotel is attempting to jam as many people as possible into the restaurant at peak times.

The owners of this Marriott should consider re-doing and expanding this main restaurant into something special. If this is done it will be a phenomenal property!

Stayed here about 3 times over the last 2 years and never disappoints. Though being the best means is it also comparably one of the most expensive hotels to stay at in Asia in general.

Highlights: Heated pools. Executive lounge boasts one of the best spreads that one can imagine in a guest lounge (which is normally limited) topped with excellent service from capable staff. Marriott breakfast buffets are normally better than that of the exec lounge but this lounge is a notable exception so I usually prefer eating bfast here. Lots of facilities/services to support business travellers. Food, whether in normal buffet, exec lounge, or in-room dining are excellently prepared.

Can improve: Suites fixtures and furnishings a tad outdated with only basic furnitures. Sockets and plugs limited. Dining table is small and can only sit 2 people eating snacks. A good dinner spread would need another working table setup. No work desk--dining table at best can be used but best to bring extension cord if you're a traveller.

Terminal 1 us so far away from a Marriott and last I know from December 2022, there’s no shuttle that services T 2 to Newport where Marriott is. Grab car us your best bet and you can be charged by about Php 200 give it take.

Dear zeroneigh..., Greetings from Manila Marriott. Please be advised that the complex wide complimentary shuttle service is temporarily unavailable. The cost to operate the complimentary shuttle service is very challenging for us to sustain at the moment. For airport transfers, we have a third party transportation provider offering this service and I will be happy to assist you with the booking and offer you a good rate in case you you will need one on your next visit to Manila. Please feel free to reach out anytime. Sincerely, Melvyn Angeles Resident Manager Marriott Hotel Manila
