We were there a few weeks ago. Our family had an overall okay experience in this resort, although these are our comments: - Breakfast buffet super sucked, not enough choices (better to order ala carte, which they thankfully allowed) - Taste of the food is so-so - Saw a rat(!!!!!!!!) in the room (we were transferred to a different room, but still, imagine seeing a rat crawling down the wall near the bed.) - Dead frog beside the pool - Pool tiles are already coming off - Shower drain was clogged - Elevator smelled like fart - Tv cable didnt work 2/3 days we were there. (I understand that there was a storm the day before we arrived which possibly messed up the connection, but they had no way to fix it.) Still thinking if we’ll be coming back.
Really enjoyed me and my husband’s Valentine holiday at Aureo. It’s luxurious and private, which is really suitable for couples and for families. The beach is clean and the sand is marvelous! Best of all, the food is sumptuous! We didn’t leave the resort during our entire stay!
So happy we found this gem in La Union…a 5-hour drive from Manila. There were still restrictions due to the pandemic and kids can’t swim in the beach but it’s ok. Kids loved the swim up room, loop, slide and the food. It was good having breakfast al fresco but selection can be improved. Hope to bring the entire family here so we can reserve the beachfront for boodle with bonfire! Didn’t go out during our entire stay. Just had lunch before check in at Amare La Cucina and after check out at Kabsat which were both good too and had great views as well.
We’re from Manila and booked in Aureo from July 7-9. Your Manila office did not even advise us that there’s a city ordinance that kids below the age of 17 are not allowed to swim in the beach, not even stay in the sand to play. We’re left with 3 pools to enjoy. Yes we went all the way to La Union for a pool. Breakfast selections is not okay. I get it that the quantity is based on the occupancy but not the quality. Do not package yoursef as a highend resorf when you cant even offer a good selection in your buffet breakfast. Our last bfast in the hotel, we only had eggplant salad, spanish sardines, ginisang hotdog (not even TJ), eggs station, 3 fruits, bread with terrible butter and salad. Value for money please. When you watch a concert, I get it that when you watch a concert they are different tiering, there’s a VVIP section, VIP, Gold, Silver etc. but not in this resort especially when you know you paid for a villa and the person who’s being treated as a VIP also got the same villa. Even if the other guest os really a VIP, since he has close in security personnels, the staff particularly in the resort’s Coast restaurant should be consistent in their rules. We’ve been getting the same table for meals and when we specifically requested that the table be reserved for us during bfast the staff said that since its buffer there’ll be lots of guests who’ll be eating, they do not reserve tables. But lo and behold, the VIP guest did have 4 reserved tables for the guest. Quickly removed the reserved tent cards on top of the table when they came. So discriminating.…
We arrived on July 2 at around 12 noon. Check in time is at 3 pm so we wandered around the resort first and had lunch at Coast. By 12:47 pm, we were notified that our room is ready and we can check in. Wow. That was a treat since it was so hot and sunny. Our room is superb. We booked the Swim Up room which I think is the best ro in the reaort. Our son loved the pool just outside our room balcony. The food from Salt and Sea as well as Coast is yummy. Servings are really huge. The only so so thing I noticed is the breakfast buffet - but maybe because I am not a fan of longganisa and tapa which was served when we were there. Overall, we loved our stay in Aureo. We love love love all the staff also.
