Nice quiet basic hotel. I’ve stayed in 3 different rooms here, and most are large, all come with refrigerators. Aircon works well. Hotel is old and dated, some rooms more than others, but clean. Staff are Super helpful and friendly. Hotel is cheap and about 5-10minute walk to Ayala. 7-11 is 5 minute walk. Filipino style breakfast very good and inexpensive in cafe in hotel. If you want brand new, book at Radisson Blu and spend 5000p plus per night and spend your time in a taxi. For 1000p per night, I like the value.

Richmond Plaza Hotel Don’t book it!! It’s a dump. The pics must be 10 years old!! It’s an absolute disgrace that Hotels.com lets them get away with it. My “courtyard view room” hasn’t even got a window. It’s impossible to sleep with ac on because it’s running at 80 decibels, that’s borderline for causing hearing damage. Like trying to sleep in an old bus. My double room booked for two people came with one thread bare towel. The fridge is filthy and stinks. The whole hotel smells weird. The Wifi doesn’t work at all. The immediate area is very dodgy. I’m a big guy and experienced traveler and even I don’t feel too safe. But it’s ok because the hotel doorman is armed with a pistol 😳. I cannot think of one good thing to say. Don’t book it. There are better places for the same price.

The Good: Convenient 15-minute walk to Ayala Center. Large room with large foam bed, formed from two twin-beds. Convenient cafe-style table with two chairs. Dressing table with mirror and stool (but no light or power point). 32" flat screen TV with cable channels. Adequate power points. Walls and ceiling were recently painted, so don't show any wear and tear. Refrigerator. Bar soap, shampoo sachet and bath towel for two guests. Small bottle of bottled water for each guest. Natural light window. Hallways well lit and fresh, with electric anti-mosquito coils plugged in. Better than usual Filipino breakfast, reasonably priced and with Tapa available. Security seems genuine. The Bad: There are plenty of positives, so why so cheap? Well, the CR really, really stinks since the window does not open, the exhaust fan does not work and I doesn't appear to have ever been properly cleaned and sanitized. Luke-warm shower. All the bedroom woodwork and cabinets are painted depressingly dark brown. There is plenty of ceiling light, but zero ambiance. Minimal amenities. WiFi is definitely dodgy, often lacking signal and internet access. Lobby WiFi didn't work at all in the morning. No security safe. New, but grossly undersized AC which never adequately cooled the room. The Ugly: The CR really, really stinks. The Tip: Ask for a room with a working CR exhaust fan. -- end --

We walked in and asked if they had a room available for the night. The reception personnel were very helpful and accommodating. The receptionist asked us to check the rooms available and we had a choice of Suite rooms, deluxe room or superior rooms. My wife chose the superior room. We paid for the accommodations and headed to the room. The room was really big with numerous windows on the 4th floor. The room was clean and had a king sized bed. The furniture is fine but some attention should be placed on the condition of the table. As I placed my elbow on the edge of the table it fell over due to a weak base and not properly attached. We didn’t use the table. We ate breakfast at the hotel and it was really excellent. It was better than most places we have stayed. We invited some relatives over during the afternoon. We decided to have dinner in the hotel. Although the menu was not extensive it has enough for the average group. I ordered the pork steak with fries. Others ordered fried chicken and pork belly with rice. My wife just ordered a green salad with Thousand Island dressing. Although the meal took a while it was all placed on the table together. All orders were very tasty and well prepared. We would definitely eat here again. Overall I would recommend the hotel to anyone needing a quiet place to stay.

LOCATION: 1 out of 5 It is a 15 minute walk to Ayala Mall. But there are no establishments or restaurants around the hotel. It is situated in a residential area so there’s not much to see. You have to walk or get a cab or Grab to get to the heart of CBD where you will see a lot of establishments and restaurants. ROOM: 1 out of 5 Please see photos attached. The photos in their website and online booking Apps are not true or enhanced. The property has both old and renovated rooms and I have seen both. Unfortunately, both rooms are hideous. Furniture are cheap and SUPER OLD. I stayed at non-renovated room since I am only staying a night. Got a superior room but there’s is nothing superior about it except the size. I think it’s approximately 30 square meters. The bed, the sheets and pillows are old and the quality is a cheap motel feel. The air conditioning is poor so I had to request for an electric fan so I can sleep better. The floor carpet is old and dirty so I suggest they remove and replace with tiles. The TV is super old and colour is already not good. Water pressure is good though. STAFF: 5 out of 5 They are all nice and friendly. All of them. Housekeeper, front desk officers and security guards are all very nice. BREAKFAST: 1 out of 5 Photo attached Upon booking, you will see that there’s only 100 Pesos (2 US Dollars) difference between the room with breakfast and the room without it. So I opted to get the one with breakfast since there are no places to eat around the area. The breakfast is just a simple rice, 1 piece sweet ham, egg and coffee. So disappointing. VALUE FOR MONEY: 1 out of 5 Receipt attached. This hotel is so expensive considering the quality of it. The price should be lower than 1000 pesos.

My girlfriend and I stayed here because we missed the Ferry to Bohol. From first appearances the hotel looked nice as it has a very nice lobby that is compared to the rest of the hotel. Given a choice of standard, superior abd deluxe rooms we chose the deluxe because it had been renovated. What a joke the title deluxe! A very big room with bed one side table and one cabinet no chairs and a large black curtain over the windows! Also included one towel (not two) one packet of shampoo (not a tube) and one skinny soap. Hate to see the superior or standard rooms. Air conditioner worked but was undersized it took several hours to cool down. The bathroom though small was renovated and pretty nice but they used an old mirror in it. On the entrance door to the room was a list of charges if you broke something and or if it was missing from the room. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is that the room was clean and the bathroom was renovated. Check-out clerk was nice and called us a taxi. Bottom line don't stay here unless desperate.

We stayed in an unrenovated room on the 4th floor in 2 nights. We had 2 single bed. The shower is definitely no good (mouldy). The wifi didn't work in 2 nights 😢.The AirCondition is not working on the 2nd day so we went out in the morning and asked the woman in the front desk to fix and she said they will fix it and call their Maintenance. When we came back, it's still the same. It doesn't work. Although, the staff were nice, polite & helpful.I would not recommend this to anyone at all.

Checked in here for business stay because we had a training conducted also in the same hotel. We booked for two rooms, both deluxe, but the other is surprisingly bigger than the other. Ours was the smaller one. The rooms seem newly renovated because of the smell of paint but the building surely looks old even from the outside. Food was definitely expensive considering it is just basic and taste was bland. The toilet has a fuming smell of drainage even with the exhaust on. Toiletries provided was just shampoo and soap. Front desk staffs were not very approachable, the restaurant staffs were. Venue for the training was the pearl room. We were almost 70 persons but the venue was definitely small for our number.

Worst hotel I've ever paid for! Dark, dingy, deceitful! No wifi the first 24 hours. The a/c didn't work well and made so much noise at night I couldn't sleep. The reception staff were pleasant enough but acted like they were used to many complaints.
