I arrived at the hotel on a Tuesday at past 2pm. My room wasn't made up. I had to leave my bags, headed for work and return late at night. I was handed the key and gave my deposit. My bags were still under the chairs where i left off. I had to bring it up myself. No attendant. The... More

Pros: -the place was homey -near ayala mall -cozy design Cons: -staffs were intimidating -room and cr was too small -the water in the faucet smells like rusty metal -no elevator I recommend this for transient travellers.

If you are looking for a clean and affordable place to stay in the center of Cebu, this is a great choice. It is an older building, but everything is very clean and it has its own charm. The location is a quiet side road, while many restaurants and the Ayala mall are only within walking distance. It is great... More

I was very pleased with the hotel until I realised that one of the staff of the hotel stole money from my bag that I accidentally left in my room... One thing is for sure, I won't spend another night at La Florentina...

I first stayed here last December 2013 with my family. We had a good experience back then that I recommend it to a couple of friends who visit Cebu. We came back this year with my family and stayed for 4 nights. We were given a room on the 4th floor which we didn't mind even if there's no elevator.... More

Its is typically an old house renovated to have rooms for rent on it. The setting is like a low cost boarding house with old furnishings. Room 3ds airconditioning has nondials and you have to pull the plug from the wall to turn it off. There are tons of ants when you leave food behind. There was even 1 cockroach... More

This place has a good location. It is in a quiet section of the city yet it is close to the Ayala Center. I was not happy with the room though. The toilet was small, its open window was facing the hallway. The hot shower took a while to warm up. We were in a double room with an extra... More

Took a while to find this place, even the cab driver hasn't heard of it then. Check in was rather slow. There's no lift and we had to carry our luggage ourselves to the third floor. Our family room showed wear and tear, and was dimly lit. Such a shame cause we find the teensy lobby rather charming, its outdoor... More

The room they gave me at the 4f is too dim and unkept - the bed, pillows, cr, curtains, etc. I chose to stay here after I read good reviews. But found the opposite. Or maybe it was just the room they gave me. After spending two hours, I decided to move out. With P850, one can get lots of... More

“If you are able to carry your luggage up 3 steep but really short flights of stairs to the best rooms up top, by all means, don't think twice. Book a room, and ask for the ones that look out onto the trees instead of the parking lot. The stairs are really not a problem if you are accustomed to walking to places instead of driving (or being chauffered) around, and if you're not severely injured. You don't have to be Wonder Woman to make it upstairs in ok shape.”
