Yep.
Their standard rooms doesnt have a door that separates your bathroom and your room. Goodluck doing your business when your bf/gf/friend/fam can see/hear/sense what you are doing.

Hotel is new and is still undergoing construction but the staff said their standard room is meant to be doorless like that. I found this weird. This has labeled itself a hotel. Not even a hostel (though i think it is given that even a hostel has bathroom door).

The staff are wonderful and helpful overall. And the location was convenient.

I do not mean to bash this hotel I just find it very inconvinient and it totally ruins the mood. I hope they take this comment into heart and rethink their room styles. Especially when I paid around php 2000 per night for it.

- The airconditioning was a bit wonky but better than nothing
- When we asked whether a 3 person bed room was available they said yes. What they meant was that the 3rd person sleeps on a lumpy matteress on the floor under the air conditioning in a very crowded room.
- The toilet facilities were excellent though. The toilet takes up half the room but hey if you want a good shower.
- To get to the breakfast you had to climb some stairs and mind the ceiling. It's okay for a young, short person like me but for my elderly parents it was a bit taxing for them.
- I feel like they were very new so they still had a ways to go (it was obvious that they were still renovating), which is why I gave 3 stars.

Booked a family room, but never stayed. They transferred us to another hotel ( though good enough) did not let us know in advance and had us move around the city through traffic jams during hours. Rude staff. Never even apologized and payed less than a half of taxi charge.

I so wanted to like this hotel as it was new and was very convenient for me. I booked one of the larger rooms with a separate living area/kitchen. I typically go barefoot in hotel rooms. I didn’t do this here. The floor seems dirty/dusty. I need more than just 3 bath towels. There was no option for smaller towels which I prefer and all other hotels I’ve been to have. Bathroom needs better ventilation. Very moldy smell and molds visible already. The layout was good. I like the modern look but I can’t recommend it based on my 1 night stay. Housekeeping needs to step up. Bathroom needs bleached. There were 3 strands of hair in the sink which is upsetting. I may give them 1 more chance in the future.

We had a great stay here for three nights. Our room was very clean, rooms look simple, fresh and updated. We didn't have any problems with it. Cebu is a busy city, so Mabolo Royal's location is great as it is walking distance to SM Mall. So many restaurants to choose from at the mall. With traffic, may not be worth it to take a taxi to eat unless of course you're wanting to visit a specific restaurant.

What's awesome is that there's a 7 Eleven attached to the hotel. Very convenient to pick up beverages and snacks!

I'm confused by the average ratings guests have given it. Try visiting the rooms at Kiwi hotel around the corner and you'll be REALLY HAPPY you found Mabolo Royal.

Walk 7 mins to SM mall is quite nice. Friendly staffs also help. Quick check in and nice cooling AC are bonus. Broken bedsheets, broken curtain in shower room, smell shower room. Will recommend other place unless only for one time stay.

We booked this hotel because it was a good deal. We choose the two bedrooms suites. However, when we check in, the room was still occupied and we end up in two separate rooms. The hotel is next to the church, every six o'clock the bell loudly sound and the busy intersection is the source of all sorts of noises, the ambulance siren is my least favorite, never mind the rooster and dogs barking from the nearby neighborhood. The free breakfast offers very limited choice. I can ignore all these little complain, but the thing that really bothers me the most was the safety of the hotel. There was only one working elevator, while the other is in the process of getting installed. The fire exit was littered with debris, construction materials were left on the stairs. There was no other way to get down from the 7th floor but the fire exit stairs. Hotel management did not place any sign which exit is working. We took the exit close to our room, the stairs were dark and doors were locked from the inside. We have to climb back to the 7th floor. I will not recommend this hotel, please pay more attention to safety.

Stayed at their highest room category the Royal Suite

PROS:
1. Affordable
- they have a range of room for your budget, from dorm type to suites, my suite room was value for money considering the large floor area

2. Accesibility
Located right next to the highway, accesible to public transportation

3. Great location
- few blocks away from big malls, walking distance to church

4. Large room
- Suite room was well equiped, floor to ceiling windows with good view, royal suite has separate reciving area

5. Comfortable bed
- duvet covers, soft pillows

6. Ammenities provided
Complete toiletries and complementaries

CONS:
1. Slightly outdated hotel
- needs furniture refurbishing and some paint jobs to chipped wall paints

2. Poorly lit hallways

3. Only local tv channels no cable channels

4. Limited selection plated breakfast

For backpackers who'll spend most of the days outdoors this is still a value for money, thanks to the front desk staff for the room upgrade
