We sadly only stayed 2 nights but couldn't fault the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pool and beach area were well maintained as was our room. We used the Azure beach club to eat and drink and cannot fault it. There was a great DJ in the evening adding to the vibe.

Review [Crimson] We stayed at this resort for a period of six nights in October 2024. Overall we had an excellent experience at this resort, which is about a 30 minute drive from the airport. We stayed in a deluxe garden room, which is quite a small room by comparison to other resorts, however, the bathroom was quite spacious and well equipped. The sound proofing in the room was not great and you relied on having quiet neighbors, which thankfully we did. There are a number of restaurants at the resort, a buffet style restaurant where we would take breakfast, Spanish and Japanese style restaurants. In the evening these restaurants all seemed desperate for business, and we ate most of our evening meals at the beach bar, which despite the constant house music had a nice relaxed atmosphere, a menu of various styles, and an outlook over the ocean. We considered the pricing of the food to be quite reasonable, set against our reference point of Hong Kong. The resort has two main pool areas which have loungers and umbrellas well supplied. One pool area is set aside as a children friendly zone. We enjoyed our days by the pool, but there also quite a nice private beach with loungers, umbrellas and an area suitable for swimming and snorkeling. We also used the spa on the property on two occasions for a couples massage. The facilities were excellent with pools and steam rooms in addition to the treatment rooms. The massage itself was very professional and reasonably priced. There is also a small gym on the resort property which has a reasonable selection of treadmills, free weights and resistance machines, certainly enough for a decent workout. One outstanding feature of the resort was the staff, almost without exception everyone, regardless of their role, greeted us with a friendly smile (especially Jinky in the beach bar Azure - wonderful service). Everyone was so willing to help and provide a good experience. We did have a misunderstanding on our initial check-in, but again the staff were very patient and tried their best to quickly resolve the situation. The issue was quickly addressed and the reception manager upgraded our room as a way to apologize for the problem, something we appreciated. Overall this is a quality five star resort with facilities and staff to rival others in the price range. It hosts mainly couples and families with children and is suitable for both. We would certainly recommend to friends planning a holiday in Cebu, and looking for a relaxing beachside destination.

After all these years, the resort has invested a lot in the entire garden area, and it was worth it. Everything is blooming, everything is well looked after, a big compliment to all the many hard-working hands there. If you look at the many beautiful pictures, that explains a lot. Friendliness is number 1 on the agenda, there is nothing to complain about, from the cleaning staff to the gardeners and service staff, thank you all very much. Another big compliment goes to breakfast. Various breads, including grainy ones, were a delight. You can see that they are trying to offer everyone a good deal: sushi for some, egg dishes for others, even if you want to try the Filipino breakfast, you are in the right place here. All egg dishes and other things are freshly prepared, it is excellent and you can taste it too. Beach towels are always ready on the loungers, and there are enough loungers available. The pool, beach and sea are very inviting and beautiful. The floral greeting in the morning is also very positive. We sometimes had to wait a bit in the morning because the two breakfast areas were overloaded, which was a shame. There can be a bit of a traffic jam here. We were a little bothered by the type of music and the volume during dinner; I would say less is more here. During the day, this is also done for a few hours by the pool, but we were able to find somewhere else. The restaurants are relatively cool, so we went to the only one where you could sit outside. That's probably pretty common, but I think it has to be said, because who wants 16 degrees in the rooms when it's 30 degrees? I caught a bad cold on the plane because of it; that cold draft is just horrible.

One of the best resorts in Mactan, the staff make you feel extremely well looked after, breakfast is fine, although biased towards the Koreans who are the majority.
The Asure restaurant by the sea has a lovely ambience, however the menu is not that great to be fair, and the wine is absolutely horrible. You can buy a reasonable sauvignon blanc in the supermarket so they should be able to serve that at a reasonable price.
The Spanish restaurant has a menu which is way too complicated, and the Japanese restaurant needs to be a little bit more down to earth. I think the resort could do with both of these restaurants being nice but not trying to look so posh.
The Pool is great as long as it's not crowded as it was at the weekend, it's quite shallow so by the afternoon there is a thin layer of sunscreen or whatever on the surface so the pool looks cloudy and unattractive.
To be fair there is better casual food outside the resort.
The beach is rocky which is typical of the area and not the fault of the resort. However they will note that the top resort the Shangri-La has a nice beach and some effort has been made to clear the rocks.

Such a beautiful and luxurious resort. We loved everything about this place. Checkin was effortless, which is what you want after a long-haul flight, with refreshments and a buggy to take you to your room. The infinity pools leading to the beach put a smile on my face each day. The private beach had plenty of chill out areas and was never busy. You can't go out too far, but great to test your snorkelling and have a swim. Great choice of restaurants - with delicious food. We were addicted to the mango shake. We truly loved this place and would absolutely recommend. The staff couldn't have been nicer.
One thing to note is that there's a lot of excursions, through the hotel or companies like Get Your Guide. We did the turtle/sardine snorkelling and it wasn't worth the money at all. £180 for two people to spend 30mins snorkelling and 60mins at a waterfall. A lot cheaper to just hire a taxi (around £80) and go there without a guide and pay the cheap admission. A 5min drive away from the hotel is a ferry that takes you to Olango Island. We snorkelled at San Vincente, no booking needed, for nearly 2hours from a nice decking area, and ate there (basic nibbles). For the whole day we spent about 1,200 php, compared to 12,000 for the excursion, which didn't include food or drink. And we took a tuktuk for just 200php each way from the ferry - the guy even waited for us. Just make sure you take cash.

It is a hotel full of hospitality, with impressive staff who greet you with a smile and a hand on your heart whenever you pass by. I can clearly see that they are focusing on customer service.
〇 About facility management They were very enthusiastic about cleaning the pool and beach and taking care of the trees in the resort, and I thought it was great that the environment was kept clean.
〇About security When I went out, they always asked for my room number and name. When I come back, I check the car at the gate. The luxury resorts in Cebu are the same as all hotels, but you are keeping safety and comfort while managing the people who come and go and the cars. This makes us feel safe in the resort, but it also makes us feel a little lonely that it is a dream world created in isolation from the people who live there.
〇About breakfast buffet It's gorgeous, but the quality was one step closer. Sausages and other meats taste too salty. And the egg dishes, like omelettes and scrambled eggs, were overcooked and not fluffy.
〇About Parrot Spa In front of the reception counter, I was told about the procedure and signed the consent form, but it was open air and there was no air conditioning, so I was sweating. I would like to install a spot cooler. The locker lock in the changing room was out of date and I had a lot of trouble turning it around to get the key out. I think it needs maintenance. The treatment room was too cold. I'd like to check with the customer and have them adjust the temperature. I had the treatment in pairs, but one of the staff thought I needed a bit more training.
〇 About equipment in the guest room It's a small detail, but I didn't have enough toilet paper spares in the cabin. I'd like to have one somewhere.
〇About Hospitality I think the pleasant greetings we receive when we pass guests probably determine how we do things throughout the hotel, which is very good. However, the essence of hospitality is not only superficial, it is also meaningless if it does not spring from within. If you really want to make your customers happy, it naturally springs up, otherwise it's just an appearance. During my stay this time, I thought, "What?" There were a few times when I thought about it. I think this is probably because the leading staff are not yet able to fully guide the staff who lack experience. If we really want our customers to be happy, I think we will make sure that we acquire the skills within ourselves until we can confidently send them to our customers. We don't want to be experimented with with on-job training because we pay a fair amount of money to be served. Because if you get a disappointing service on your first visit, you don't want to get it again.

Beautiful resort we will be returning to again. Pools and grounds are amazing. We reserved two Garden villa units with a special welcome cake/ balloons for my in laws. The garden Villas are a bit small for our family with 2 kids but amazing nonetheless. The cake and balloons were a welcomed treat after a long day of touring Cebu. All staff are great and accommodating.
My only comments for improvement are: Restaurant basic training of the restaurant staff at the Azure beach club. It seemed as the bus boy was an unintended waiter in a brand new position. He was very helpful but we always had to call on him vs him coming to check on us. For this level of resort, a better clarification of roles, responsibilities and staff training should occur. Second issue we encountered was in the quality of the ‘meat’ platter which was the most expensive item on the menu. The Beef was below average of the cheapest meat cuts in the USA and the lamb was served extremely raw and inedible. The server removed the undercooked lamb from the platter and picked up my chewed up meat from my plate which I thought was going to be thrown away. Bring the Philippines it was recooked and re-served to us! Otherwise the dishes we ordered were very good.
Other minor nuance is our Iron not working, but it wasn’t a big deal.
Places for improvement: Downsize the welcome cake— it’s enough for 12 people and we hate wasting food. Offer refillable water stations with reusable branded water bottles (like a Nalgene or Yeti) . Do not contribute more to the plastic pollution problem in Cebu. Trash and recycling bins. Not sure why but there are very few besides the ones in your room. Beach area could use more shade as the oval cabanas are more form than function. Import of a fine beach sand would be great as well (we had just come from a week in Boracay) as there is a lot of coral mixed in the sand. The sand Volleyball court needs a retaining wall to level it as the slope is non functional for play. A private fast ferry shuttle to Cebu port for tours would be amazing as Cebu traffic is some of the worst on planet earth!
Of our month long vacation in the Philippines which included staying at various hotels including the Radisson Blu, Hennan properties , Air BNB’s and Solaire, Crimson Resort in Mactan was by far our (and kids) favorite. Highly recommended and planning on returning!

As a family we have stayed in many 5 star hotels around the world but we were blown away by the friendly can-do and highly professional service we received from every member of staff at this hotel. Although our visit started on a negative note when the hotel transfer failed to collect us as the airport, when we finally arrived at the hotel the night manager James was there to meet us and apologise in person for the error with the hotel transfer. As an apology he then offered us a complementary room upgrade and a free transfer to any destination in greater Cebu. When we got to our room, and requested an extra bed be installed , housekeeping arrived within minutes with the requested bed , along with extra towels, gown, slippers and bathroom amenities for the extra guest in our room. Throughout our stay all the staff from cleaners, groundskeeper, lifeguards, reception etc everyone would smile and greet and do anything to make your stay a little nicer at the hotel. We enjoyed the bottomless ice cream served at poolside deli. The pool foam party brought the right ‘vibes’, and we enjoyed all the on-site watersports. The breakfast buffet had great variety . The standout dining experience was at the hotel’s Japanese restaurant whose food was absolutely immaculate. The spa facility was really lovely although body treatment prices were a little high. Should I find myself in Cebu again , I will definitely stay at the Crimson again, moreover I am now keen to try out other Crimson resorts as soon as possible. A special thank you to James ( the night manager) and Jeff ( the porter) for making our stay so special.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as a family of 4 with two kids ages 5 and 8. This hotel was such a wonderful find. The hotel is very well staffed and there is always someone around to help but more importantly every member of staff is incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. The kids club is fantastic and so well equipped with books, games, activities, a ball pit, computer consoles and our kids thoroughly enjoyed spending time here to escape the hottest parts of the day. Again the club had plenty of staff who were all attentive and energetic. The rooms were very comfortable with a spacious bathroom, coffee machine and the hotel happily provided more water when we needed it. We particularly enjoyed the pool and evening drinks at the beach restaurant and loved the hotel's spanish restaurant Enye. The food was fabulous and they catered well for kids. The ambience of the restaurant is perfect for a relaxing dinner and the staff were exceptional. We spent the next 4 nights of our trip at the Shangri La and honestly wish we had stayed at this hotel. The breakfast, the staff attentiveness and the kids facilities were disappointing and did not meet the standard set by the Crimson Hotel. I also wanted to note that when we had left for home I realised I had left a shawl at this hotel. Once I got home I emailed to see if anyone had found it. They found the scarf and sent it back to my home. It has sentimental value and I am again so impressed by this hotel and its staff. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable. The environment here has a wide and beautiful garden for walking, a circular track for morning jogging, a large swimming pool for splashing and relaxing, and an incomparable sea view. This is a gated community with controlled entrances, so you can go outdoors in the middle of the night. Stargazing is also safe.
The gardener mows the grass by hand, without pushing the lawn mower. The plants are taken care of very carefully and vitally, and the air is filled with the fragrance of frangipani.
The staff here are neither humble nor overbearing. They always greet guests with a smile and a warm welcome. They remember their guests.
There are various outdoor activities here starting at 6:30 in the morning, including jogging, yoga stretching, ballroom dancing, water canoeing, and beach volleyball. The coaches are all professional and enthusiastic.
The food in the four restaurants in the park is all delicious, especially AKA restaurant, which has a Japanese family atmosphere. We had breakfast there for five consecutive days, and Japanese dinner will be provided next month.
We will definitely come back. Such a great beachfront hotel with such delicious food is rare even in Hawaii.
