We stayed in the resort from July 9-12. What a pleasant stay ended disappointing. When we were checking out, Mary, the reception lady, told me that a reading light was broken in the master’s bedroom. Without asking for too much details, I asked how much do we need to pay since we are trying to catch our 1:20PM flight. After several calls to housekeeping and maintenance, she still can’t give us the exact amount (She checked their list and it was at P1,000+). I was there for almost 20 minutes waiting. When the yaya of our daughter approached me, she told me that the reading light was already broken when we arrived. That’s the time I already cited some broken fixtures in our room (A3FG) when we arrived. We didn’t make these an issue because these really didn’t bother us. But for you to charge us for something we didn’t break, this is simply wrong. After more minutes and Mary cannot still let us go because of confirmation calls she has to make, I just decided to give her P2,000.00 and leave. I hope that will “fix” whatever we “broke”. I thought we were already done. On our way to the airport, I got a call that I wasn’t charged the whole amount. I didn’t notice this because we were rushing to catch our flight. I got a call and said I will just settle everything via bank transfer. Since I am already making this as my review, allow me to highlight items for improvement: 1. Breakfast starts at 8AM and pools open at 9AM. I hope you can reconsider opening earlier for people who wake up early. Pools close at 6PM. Too early for something that opens late. 2. Water refills in the room should be free. This is the first time I’ve encountered that we are being charged Php105/ bottle for any hotel/resort we’ve stayed at. We just stayed a few weeks ago in Shangri-La, Crimson and JPark. 3. Some rooms need renovation/fixing. Our room’s cabinets need refurbishing and the some walls, repainting. Overall, our stay was good albeit the hassle we encountered during the checkout. Food is great and the staffs are friendly and accommodating. But honestly, I will think twice if we will stay here again.

When I check my #BucketList2021 for Hotel and Resort Staycations, Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa is definitely on top of my dream resort staycation list. It all started when I was searching for a hotel/resort/condo to celebrate Christmas last year 2020 and my BFF Kawi Alenton brought me here. I vividly recall that it was love at first sight the moment I step on the clubhouse because of its spacious, clean, white marble lobby with modern high end furniture, Koi pond, and indoor water features where the front desk and concierge is located. One thing I personally appreciate is the architectural design, where they adapt the green building design features by preserving precious natural resources and following the contour of the land. It's environmentally responsible and resource-efficient instead of cutting down the trees. It feels cool and relaxing during this Summer season and close to nature where you can hear the sweet sounds of the birds. It allows in as much daylight as possible with energy efficient glass ceiling and glass walls, considerably reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day, thereby reducing electricity charges. Summer is all about good vibes and happy times with family and friends. My utmost gratitude to my sister Irene Paran for fulfilling my bucket list. In return, she was quite emotional when she revealed that her wish was also granted that finally we'll have a staycation together as siblings. Praise God for the answered prayers. This is the best season to go swimming as you relax amidst nature across the seven shimmering pools. I exclaimed with much amazement and excitement as I reconnect back to nature with the sound of the breeze under the palms. For the record, they have the largest swimming pool I've ever dipped and plunged in Cebu. It was my first ever experience that I've to move from one pool to another and then to the next several times. I definitely had a great time indeed! The main pool measures 100 square meters, 4.5 feet deep near the beach behind the luxurious clubhouse. The second pool has a pool bar, Bar Montan (Spanish term for Mountain). They have two kiddie pools (3 feet and 2 feet deep) for our beloved kiddos and they will definitely enjoy the activity pool with slides. They also have a lap pool and the exclusive pool for the unit owners in the Building B. One thing I love are the seven Jacuzzis. The beach will close at 5PM and the swimming pool at 6PM. If I may suggest, I'm hoping that they will consider extending the closing time up to 8PM like the luxury City hotels I've stayed 2 weeks ago for the guests who want to have a night swimming most especially when you've limited time (standard check-in time is at 3PM). The most recent event, I've attended wearing a wristband was in Hong Kong Disneyland during my Disneyland Birthday Celebration 2020. Upon registration we're given a blue colored bracelet-like wristband as an in-house guest, green for the day use guests and orange for the unit owners. Staying overnight on the 10th floor of the Building A (below the penthouse on the highest level), with the scenic view of the sea and the beautiful skyline of Mactan at the balcony of my fully furnished Deluxe Studio Room was breathtaking and heavenly indeed! It has queen size bed with an extra bed for my sister complete with cable LED TV, dining area, washing machine and the kitchen equipped with induction stove, kitchen appliances and dining utensil sets. Loving the cozy ambiance of Cafè Hojas for our delectable breakfast with the crispy bacon, fried eggs, garlic rice, and fruit juice that comes with fresh fruits. Yummy! Right after breakfast, I was on my first Kayaking experience with the use of a Kayak (a small, narrow watercraft which is typically propelled by means of a double-bladed paddle). I super love it in the morning especially when its high tide and the sun is up. My heartfelt gratitude to Reservations Agent Jenny Rose Rosel for granting all my requests, Duty Manager Ana Rhea Siarza, Front Office Assistant Mary Zuasola, Bellman Alwen Pacure & Karl Villoria and Bartender Kingsley for making our staycation successful, happy and enjoyable.

I wrote a review in October 2020 and I just would like to say that their service has improved a lot. They strictly follow the covid protocols without the hostile approach compared before. The rooms were extremely clean, their service has become more customer oriented. I woukd like to comment the restaurant for giving us free drinks when our order took long. You should try their pizza! Everytime we stay here we always order their yummy pizza! Note: we stayed on weekday so we had the entire resort by ourselves! We really enjoyef a peaceful and happy stay. Thanks Tambuli staff! Keep it up

It was my first time at Tambuli along with my 2 friends and first time staying in a resort in Mactan. We were delighted by the property upon arrival, everything was going smooth. Although we were not aware that the layout of the resort is originated from condominiums meaning a 5-7 min walk across the parking lot to the restaurant & amenities, also the room gave us the feeling like we’re staying in an air bnb. There was no decor on the walls, the view was not sea view as agreed (faced a building), and the bed room door made out of cheap plywood didn’t insulate any noise especially with the missing lock and knob (we use our finger in the hole to pull the door open and block the door with the luggage stand to close it). This was not our main concern, around 12nn we went to the beach, it was just us and maybe 1 other family, we enjoyed the boardwalk and landing but around 2 or 3 pm we noticed there was a large influx of people who definitely weren’t staying at the resort. I felt like it became a public beach, the newcomers were screaming, talking loud, taking photos of us under the umbrella (myself and 2 females), some were laying on the decorate rock landscaping. It begs the question why is there a function allowed during CoVid and how come they allowed them to access the beach that I had paid over 10k to enjoy? Around 3 or 4pm the noise was so loud it was deafening and we could no longer enjoy ourselves and left for the room. Thankfully we got to the room and ordered room service, the food was delicious (signature burger, pasta & tuna melt) despite it arriving after over 1 hour. Once we rested, we were able to catch the happy hour and had drinks & pizza at the restaurant (Luigi was an amazing server), my mood was lifted a bit. We woke up for the buffet the next day, only to have to wait to be served by only one attendant who manned several stations, when there is 4 or 5 people in line. At times there was no one behind the station to serve, actually no one was in sight to help, so you have to wait until someone shows up to be served food. I spoke to the manager about this. She’s glad I brought all of this to their attention yet She said they couldn’t even afford to give us a free day pass to make up for it so I doubt we’ll be staying there again.
