Front desk service: There is none outside the standard 8AM to 5PM office hours. You'll be lucky if somebody actually picks up the line. Having stayed here for quarantine purposes and not being allowed to step out of the room, this "no service" is a big no no. Non-front desk staff: The bell hop is pro active in bringing up ordered food. I gambled with ordering food from the outside as I couldn't order food from the hotel simply because there was nobody picking up the line. Luckily, the bell hop would bring up the food ordered from the outside. I would've starved if they didn't bring the food up. Room: Everything is old. The bed was not comfortable. The fridge had to be changed as it was not working. The cable tv line up was really bad as well. The floor was dusty. Room slippers? They're old and crumbly. The moment I slipped my feet in them, they ripped. I just laughed it off as I was just tired getting upset anymore. Breakfast: Better order food from the outside. I was told that the food in this place is good. Fake news. Will I consider going back to this place? If there is another quarantine hotel, I wouldn't stay in Hotel del Rio anymore.…
the room is cleaned, sanitize. the internet is conveniently fast. also the staff is convenietn and productive. also their food is very good. youmust try their hot chocolate cocoa tastes magnficient. also I discovered that HOTEL DEL RIO is given a name like that because its beside a river. a spanish name
The food is absolutely delicious at their restaurant. We ordered shakes, fresh juice, crispy sisig, kare-kare, and the surprisingly zesty and unique "adobadong tanigue." Thank you to the manager for the hospitality, and the the courteous staff! :)
Excellent in accomodations. Services met with high standards. Food and drinks are satisfactory. And hospitable people with good attitude. I am thankful that I was brought in this hotel in advance since I will be completing my 14 days quarantine.
This review is specifically for the hotel's wonderful restaurant. The food and presentation were absolutely incredible. The selection was vast and abundant. Filipino favorites, American staples, and Chinese delights converge into one highly satisfying buffet experience. During my stay in Iloilo, I also tried the Richmonde Hotel's breakfast buffet, and compared to Hotel del Rio, it fell heavily short. I wouldn't bother with Richmonde because it doesn't compare to the quality that Hotel Rio has to offer. Chef Tibong knows what he's doing! I highly recommend eating here.
