In Cluj-Napoca i had a night in this hotel. The position is very good, because is about 4 km to the downtown and approximately 20 minutes to airport. Parking is enough, staff very kind. The building is old, the room quite confortable.

I has been here longtime ago. Good hotel with many rooms. Clean, confortable; the breakfast could be improved. There is also car parking. The area is quiet. The receptionist Miss Olimpia bring up the hotel to 5 stars level.

If you need a decent place to stay for the night, in a quiet area and with a decent price, Hotel Olimp would suit.
Friendly staff, good and rich breakfast.
The room was clean, with comfortable beds, but unfortunately the bathroom was kind o smelly due to the lack of a window.

A quiet, clean place with professional staff. Corect price-quality ratio. The anti-SarsCov2 measures are observed. About 10 minutes drive from the center of the citadel. Lots of places to visit nearby. To be fair I can say about the stay: very pleasant!

Clean and quiet, but average. Good for 1-2 nights to sleep.
Strange program for breafast (Saturday from 8.30 and Sunday from 9 o'clock), so i was not able to take it because I left earlier. Around the hotel there are several places to eat on a decent walking distance. It is located 10 min driving to the city center.

Booked this property because it offered a suite for the price of a double.
On arrival they told me the suite was not available,and after traveling for many hours I had no option but to pay the same money for a double room...not even an offer of a discount.
Avoid this place,it is too far out of town,and they deceive you with offers that do not exist!

If you want a hotel at a good price, close to Botanical Garden and quite close to the Medical Clinics, Olimp is a choice. With the car or bus you are 5 minutes from the center (National Theatre).
I had a triple room which was big enough, even if the building seems to be a renovated workers dormitory.
The breakfast was very reach and good.

On the plus side, this hotel has some of the nicest staff I've ever come across and the rooms are very spacious. We also had a huge Jacuzzi tub in our bathroom. Our room was on the ground floor, so the wi-fi was great. The room has air-conditioning, a mini-bar, a flat-screen TV. The location is OK, the hotel is very close to the Botanical Garden and it takes you just a few minutes to drive to the city center. There's also free parking.
On the down side, we stayed here in December and the room was very cold. Also, the walls are paper thin so everything our neighbors said and did, we heard. The bed was big and great to sleep in, but if the other guests of the hotel keep you up, it doesn't really help the sleep quality. And the room smelled really bad like cigarettes (even the pillows!)
Bottom line, even if we liked the facilities and the staff, this won't be our first choice in the future when coming back to Cluj.

Do not book this hotel, unless you want a pneumonia! My mother attended a conference at Olimp Hotel on 26 October 2012. The conference room was freezing. All the guests complained about it, but nothing was done to remedy the situation. It seems the staff did not turn on the heat at all this autumn. Heating is expensive, but a hotel should not save money by keeping the rooms cold. The evening receptionist is very rude to people and if I was a guest, I would run away from this hotel. There are better hotels in Cluj with decent staff who will do their best to keep clients happy, without charging a fortune for it.
