My mum and I came here for a weekend to celebrate her birthday, we were surprised to see so much construction work as we approached and it definitely affected the views of the place, compared to the pictures we had seen. The staff on reception were hit and miss; one guy was helpful in getting us a cab and letting us know what was a reasonable rate for the journey we were doing. Whereas a different receptionist seemed to know nothing about the spa bookings and made no attempt to find out, just that he didn’t really know.

The room itself was pleasant enough, it was clean and had everything we needed, except a kettle!

The spa was under construction on the outside, but once in there we relaxed as it was all functioning fine. There were 2 hot tubs which was lovely as that’s where I like to chill out. The pool area had local families visiting too, which was fine but not ideal if you don’t want to be able to hear kids splashing about playing. The massages were brilliant! And super cheap. So much so we had one on the Saturday and booked another for the Sunday! There was a shared room to have massages together or a curtain that could be pulled between to have two individual spaces.

The breakfast was lovely, I love the excuse of being able to eat a bit of everything like you wouldn’t dream of doing at home. We were warmly greeted and offered tea & coffee, the rest was a buffet to help yourself. We went towards the end of the breakfast serving and there was still plenty of everything being restocked. Yournus was in there both mornings we went in and is a credit to their staff team! He spoke with us about the area and answered all the questions we had about things to do during our weekend there.

This hotel is a distance from the main town so you do have to get cabs (but they’re much cheaper than those in London!) but it was sunny and warm above all the fog so this was definitely preferential for us.

We had dinner at their restaurant one evening and it was lovely. I didn’t catch the waiters name but he was brilliant and when they didn’t have the wine we ordered, he found another to suit our tastes. We had 2 courses each, coffee, water and a bottle of wine, and including the tip it was less than £40! This amazes me considering the quality of the food.

They seemed to have lots of activities on and more things being planned. So once this place has been fully renovated it’ll be a full family resort that could entertain you for a day without even leaving the place!

We’d look at staying here again in the future, but would probably wait until the renovation works are done so we can experience all the new parts of it too!

hotel🙂, food🙂, SPA 🙂, landscape🙂, general vibe of the place🙂, they allow pets 🙂

horseback riding school ☹

I went there especially for the horseback riding sessions as they have an enclosed arena. I was dissapointed by their trainers who don't have the communication skills or the patience needed for teaching adult students. Also the horse I was given was only 4 years old while the training of a young horse begins at 3. That breed is used for traction not for riding let alone for teaching a beginner rider. During one of my 4 sessions the trainer worked with 2 other students at the same time.

I also noticed that the enclosure for the deer is way too small for about 10 animals. !!!

We spent 2 nights here with my boyfriend last year. It was still under construction mostly, but considering that we came for the wellness we didnt mind. The wellness are is pretty small 1 pool and 2 Jacuzzis, 2 saunas. There were like 3 or 4 families so it was full with kids.
The rooms were nice and comfortable altough a bit loud. I guess now there are more things that you can do as the adventure park ( if they finished it) and riding horses, renting bikes.
The food was pretty great and the view was amazing!
If you live in Cluj and just want to escape the city a bit i think its a great possibility, but if you want to relax for a longer time you might wanna look for something not so crowded and with a bigger wellness area.

The place is small, loud, under construction, the reception from the spa looked like a storagw room. Electronic wiring in the sauna loose from the ceiling, cold room, bad chairs, not enough space to sit, you need to rent a towel (in an a
Spa???) And the floor was horribly slippery. Almost hit my head. This was for us No Next Visit Land!

We arrived at Wonderland resort for an all inclusive Christmas break on Christmas eve. Even though the check in is after 2 pm we arrived at 4 am and we were well received and showed to our rooms. The rooms are decent sized and clean, with nice views. The hotel is spotless, with a nice spa, pool and hot baths, beautiful surroundings and you can even do horseback riding.
The food was plenty and tasty.
One thing I was very pleased with is the staff. These people work tirelessly and it looked like they had a sixth sense and knew exactly what you needed and nothing was too much for them. I can’t thank them enough as their service was second to none and made us feel welcome and looked after. So 5 stars for the staff, especially Ionut, who has delighted us with his kind words, anecdotes and his sense of humour.
Christmas was a fairy tale thanks to wonderland, and I would definitely come again, even though we had to travel for 6 hours to get here!

I had the great satisfaction of visiting Wonderland during the pandemic in April 2021. I observed from the very beginning the staff's hospitality, the openness to provide opportunities, and the flawless goodwill.
We were guests of the hotel for five days, as long as our children were in the camp. During these five days, I had total recreation, food, drink of the best quality, a beautiful view of the city and its surroundings, and spent only quality time with my family. We didn't get bored for a minute, from horseback riding, hiking, from darts to the pool, from hot air balloon flying to the beautiful campfire, we had it all. And, of course, nothing would have been possible if we had not met at this beautiful resort people willing for any proposal to make our day more pleasant.
I offer five stars in excellence because I can't offer more and promise that we always return to Wonderland with pleasure!

We arrived one Sat morning hoping to relax by a pool and catch some sun. Disappointed that there not only was no outside pool, but there is no easy access to a lawn for sunbathing. This is extremely strange, because the property is huge. The very friendly spa worker moved a chair for us around the building onto a lawn. No sooner had we settled in when we saw all kinds of people dressed up for a wedding arriving. There was going to be a wedding and we were right in their way. We declined the opportunity to photo bomb a wedding in our swim suits, so we decided to move. Walked around to find a spot of pasture (cant call it lawn) by the parking lots where we laid down. Which is something we could have done in our own front yard.
I also want to mention the fact that of 2 jacuzzis, one was lobster.cooking hit, the other only worked for one seat. The spa feels like a cave, terribly done at that.
The spa is the only service we used so i cant speak for the other services, but the feel of the whole place was just kitchy.

A very interesting place that claims to 5 stars but does mot qualify for it. Rooms are amazing - architecture, size, housekeeping but comfort is poor as distance to eating places is too far, sometimes up- and downhill. Food and catering services are excellent. Management is visibly very poor. All in all, a rather expensive and uncomfortable experience

Very pleased with the food quality, the wonderful view on the city of Cluj and of course the friendly staff. In the wonder-bistro they did whatever possible to realize your request even though if it wasn’t on the menu.
So, we had a tailor-made meal.
It was absolutely worth it.
thanks again wonderland staff

The room was dirty, old furniture almost destroyed. The prices are too much for what they offer. For the dyno parc, despite the fact that on their website is written that kids after 3yo pay for the ticket, at the entrance they said that also 2 yo are paying. The room has AC but is not working.

Hello, In my room I had no coffee or tea possibilities but you can try to request at the front desk and they will certainly accommodate . Maybe the request can be sent in advance . Also , the iron can be requested ahead because the rooms were not equipped with one . With the mosquito net I cannot answer and do not know if they can help , but since they have a daycare center/kindergarten on the premises , maybe they can also provide that . The requests we had were sent ahead so , I suggest a call or an e-mail to get 100% confirmation .
