Detailed Reviews
Booked via booking.com, Hotel located about 1km far from the downtown climbing the hill. A bit noise as closed on a high traffic road.
Breakfast can be improved for its variety.
Staff with very well spoken English and friendly approach with good suggestions about how to move and where to go.

The hotel's construction is new, modern, with quality materials. But the services are not of the best quality. Something specifically Romanian. Modern room, furniture, new, nice bathroom, but with a bad smell, dark. The location is a bit far from the center, but the walk is pleasant. Common breakfast, nothing special. The price is acceptable, lower than in other hotels in Cluj.

Our stay was extremely comfortable. The hotel is located in a quiet and green area, near Chinese Restaurant.
It is very easy to visit many objectives around.
All rooms have AC and nice modern furniture.
The breakfast is very rich.
Wonderful staff!
Would definitely stay again.

Pros: size of room (twin, no 105), nicely decorated; adequate furniture; size of bathroom; cleanliness of room and bathroom; mini-fridge; AC; good and free WiFi; excellent breakfast; good location, not far away from city centre; big LCD TV; lift (which clearly make the hotel eligible for a 4* rating); overall good value for money
Cons: mattresses below par leading to uncomfortable sleep; inadequate lighting in the room; daily house-keeping only deals with making beds and empty the trash cans; very poor toiletries; rough towels; few TV channels of poor quality (SD, not HD)

This hotel is amazing, and with reasonable prices. We stayed in a beautiful suite with unique wallpaper and decoration, modern furniture and an impressive room divider in shape of the TV. The bathroom was large and spotless. I was particularly impressed with the incredible fast and free Wi-Fi, and the many non-Romanian TV-channels. The breakfast was also wonderful with a great diversity of cold cuts, sweets and warm dishes. The hotel is situated uphill leading away from the city center, but it is a small walk even for those of poor constitution.

What can i say..we had to book this hotel out of necessity given there was a champions league match on with Cluj and roma...
Hotel is maybe 10 minutes by taxi from a lot of the city/town.
Set in an uninspiring area of Cluj...not a lot to see but then it is failry typical of the rest of the city.
Stayed 3 nights...
Good points....
staff were very freindly
Taxis arrive within 2 minutes it seemed...
Clean and tidy...
seemed ot be recently refurbished to some extent.
Breakfast was ok..nothing startling ..orange juice / tea/coffeee/cold meats and some Romanian hot food ....
Bad points - All room related so maybe if you get a better room this wont happen.
No plug in the bath so could not have a bath....other colleagues here reported the same so not just a one off.
Shower ..if ou want it cold then no problem...but pressure from having it hot means it is hit and miss if you get enough to actually have a shower with..on 2 out of the 3 monrings I had to forego my shower...(have it the night before!)
Room partitions..incredibly flimsy....i might as well have had myt bed in the corridor ..constant noise during early hours as people came back from the town...
Bed...asolutely awful..single bed..'in' a box so to speak...
Wi-Fi in all rooms..hmmm must be some romanian standard not one person from our party could connect wirelessly and use the service...no wired access either...although there is a pc available to use.
I posted a video of my room on utube..search for my id ..gkinghrn and you can see it..
To be honest it is 3* and it feels like it. On the whole my estimation of 3* in Romania was not too bad if this is standard.

We stayed here for one night - the hotel was booked for us by Rolandia as part of our Romania private tour. We stayed in the larger room and it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful.
Breakfast was a nice spread.
The hotel is well located, a few minutes drive from the centre of the town centre. There's a nice Chinese restaurant about 30 metres down the road where we had a fulfilling dinner.
Overall a nice experience for a night's stay.

My kids stayed for two nights. Clean room, good breakfast, good service.
Wish had a slant accessible entrance so don’t have to drag the luggage over the entrance stairs.

+1
Weekend stay with my husband and 6 month old baby. I payed for a double room and got a junior suite, probably because I announced we travel with a baby. Room was excellent, big bed, very stylish, bathroom very clean, lightning very cosy, wireless with good speed. Air conditioning was not necessary, but present. I was inspired from a few design details for my own home.
Breakfast about 7E but worth all the money, very diverse.
Elevator newly build was helpful for us with the stroller.
Parking space in front of the hotel or the street near by.
I was impressed and personnaly rate this stay 5 stars.

We came to Cluj for the Untold festival. Even the receptionist from our first day said they knew we were there for the festival. We had booked an extra day to enjoy the city. All good an peachy the first and second day.
Though, once the festival started - and we were coming at 6-7 AM and sleeping till 2-3 PM - there was no cleaning service whatsoever.
In the next 2 days we though, ok, maybe they'll come "tomorrow", but they didn't. And so, on our 4th day, we went at the front desk to ask for some clean towels. The lady was very arrogant, saying they've tried cleaning the room, but we had the "do not disturb" sign on and that their cleaning service ends at 2 PM. She barely agreed to go bring us some towels which she handed to my husband and we had to take them back upstairs.
I have to mention we like to be understanding with people working in restaurants and hotels, mistakes happen, there are busy periods and we get understaffing. And we have what we call a "vacation chill mode", so we said, ok, tomorrow we'll make an effort to wake up earlier and leave the room around noon so that it can be cleaned, trash taken out etc.
Imagine our surprise when coming back at 4 PM, the room was how we had left it.
My husband called the reception and asked for cleaning service, after 7 PM, when we were supposed to leave again.
The receptionist considered as a solution calling the cleaning lady from home, at 6 PM, and sending her to our door...of our room...where we were taking a nap...We were grumpy and not in the mood for excuses and for a cleaning lady to make reproches we didn't put the "please clean the room" sign on and us sleeping till noon.
Seriously? We were here for a music festival with a line up of DJs playing till 6 AM...
And you offer accomodation during the festival.
If you don't have the staffing to do so, don't.
The drop that spilled the glass was noticing that the staff had come into the room after we left, didn't take the trash or make the bed, but had left a bunch of clean towels, almost thrown in the bathroom cabinet.
It is unpleasant to find incompetent staff. Is distasteful to see vendictive attitude (like the towels or the fact that we were not given a late checkout on the counts that they were fully booked - but they had rooms available on booking.com).
I have to say, I didn't expect much from a 3 stars hotel in Romania, specially since traveling as a Romanian in Romania usually is not the greatest experience, but still, I did not expect this.
PS: the toilet was not very well cleaned. Smelled bad and I cleaned it with some antiseptic towels. The towel turned yellow when cleaning the inside of the toilet. Need I say more?
Also, if you have trouble sleeping with noise, the rooms overseeing the street are not recommended. There's an overpass there and a lot of noise from cars and bikes accelerating.
The elevator is squeaky and very slow. I didn't really feel safe.

The hotel is within 15 minutes driving distance from the airport. Maybe 30 minute in heavy traffic.
Hi, we found it ideal and would definitely recommend. We also walked the opposite direction up the hill on a couple of occasions to a small shopping centre with a very nice sports bar, you can also get to the botanical gardens from this direction as well as from the city.
Tip, we thought the breakfast at the hotel was better value than some reviews have reported and ended up having breakfast every day albeit not booked in advance.
