Nice hotel,with helpful and friendly staff, spacious, warm room, clean and tidy! Bathroom is also clean, and spacious. Wifi is good.
Hotel 's lobby is tiny.
Breakfast is satisfying ,although dishes could be refreshed more often.
The hotel is located quite far from city center, but by car or taxi , it s about a 10 min drive.
Over all, a decent ,good hotel.

Nice hotel with spacious rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast is nice with a good selection. Situated in a calm neighbourhood and has a parking spaces available. There is a Lidl supermarket at around 8 minutes walking distance and a few nice restaurants nearby as well.

Great hotel in all aspects. Big, clean and well equipped room. Polite and professional staff. The location is not very close to down town, but it's in a pretty good area. The breakfast is varied and good. A bit pricey but I would say it's worth the money.

There are a bit too many 5-star reviews for this place by reviewers who wrote only 1 review on Trip Advisor, and who all think this place is awesome and within such easy reach of the city center (10 mins walk, 8 mins walk).
So I feel it's my duty to be clear and frank here.
If you are a tourist, there is no reason to stay at this hotel. When coming to Cluj, you should stay in the old town. That's where the nice buildings, patio restaurants and open-air cafés are. This hotel is on the outskirts of town, where there is absolutely nothing to see or do. If you really want to be out of the center, a better choice is the Grand Italia, even though that is a blatantly kitschy, nouveau riche place.
There is nothing 4-star about this place. It is just an average 3-star. The rooms and beds are okay, but the food in the breakfast buffet at Athos looks and tastes like it has been there for at least a week.
And to the reviewers who are able to walk the 3 kilometers from the hotel to the old town in 8 mins, I'd say congratulations, you should register for the Olympic Games instead of writing dodgy reviews on TA.

I had a great time at Hotel Athos RMT. The hotel is new, recently opened. The staff is great and the hotel is near the city center, about 8 min walk or a 2 min taxi drive which is very cheap around 5-6 lei (1.3 euro). The breakfast was outstanding, with plenty of food even for the vegan. The room is very big and very clean, with a magnificent view over Cluj-Napoca. The staff was very helpfull, wanting everything to be perfect. I was given a fruit basket uppon arrival and a complementary bottle of water. I had a early checkout, before the breakfast so they prepared a take-away breakfast for me which was awesome, the only hotel that did this and believe me, I travel a lot. I will recommend this hotel to everyone who travels to Cluj-Napoca. In my oppinion they deserve the 5th star rank.

Very warm staff, cozy rooms, placed in a quiet area (newest neighbourhood of Cluj-Napoca), very close to the city center. Very good breakfast. Best rate guality-price. 2,5€ cost of taxi to the city center.

At the time i am writing this review i have not tried the breakfast yet. But one thing is clear: i experienced the fastest checkin ever in my life. Less than 3 minutes. Very kind staff at reception willing to do all necessary to help. Room or i better say apartment super spacious. My daughter was running a marathon inside. Clean and neat. The old school furniture, though new and great quality was not my taste and bathroom had a weird positioned shower. But other than that i am very pleased with this place and recommend.

This hotel is on the edge of the town about 20 mins to walk into city or a short and cheap taxt ride. The beds are comfy, air con and WIFI worked well. The staff are very helpful and kept safe a USB charger which we had left behind until we could collect it on our return to the city. The brakfast was very good, superb coffee and a good selection of food. We ate in the restaurant on one evening, good food at a resonable price. we would use this hotel again if we had to return to the city.

I was with my wife and our two children one night. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The apartment was very large and clean. The only thing that needs changing is the furniture. It is old and crowded little bedroom. Instead, there are other features that compensate for such sons Kettle in room with tea, coffee and juice from them. In the bathroom is bath tub equipped. Breakfast varied and tasty.
The only downside is that they do not have equipment to maintain even some hot weather. Instead, you feel respected wherever you meet someone from the hotel staff.
I gladly recommend this hotel. After the renovations Certainly I'll come back and certainly one can give 5 stars.

The hotel has a very nice and welcoming appearance,the rooms are spacious, comfortable and naturaly iluminated with a very pleasant view over the city, as well as a very comfy bed. I appreciated especially the fact that the hotel is positioned in a quiet area, but also relatively close to the city centre, aproximately 5-10 minutes by car, to be more precise. The services were ,as expected, very good, the rooms were clean and the staff was very polite and welcoming at every hour of the day. Breakfast was diverse and very tasty. For sure i will come again next time.
