Comfortable budget friendly hotel. Spacious, clean rooms with commodities included, amicable staff, private parking and very good location. Next to it there is Iuliuss Mall and Park with a food court, restaurants and a hypermarket so there's no issue getting food in the area (there are also delivery services for that matter). Close by are a couple of bus stations if in need for public transportation.

This is a newly built apartment hotel and they have done it so well. It is 15-20 minutes drive from the sorry Airport and a couple of miles from the city centre which can be accessed by bus or taxi. There is a very large mall next door to the hotel with lots of restaurants and a supermarket - excellent food on your doorstep. The rooms were furnished in a clean, modern style and well equipped including a washing machine! The beds were comfy including the sofa bed. There was a balcony in every room although you will need to request a room on one of the upper floors for the best views of the lake. There is Parking in a secure garage under the apartment block. Reception were very helpful and open from 7am - 10pm. Out of hours there is an emergency number. There is good speed free Wi-Fi. I highly recommend this hotel.

It was the first time we stayed at Il Lago and I will guarantee this will not be the last. We will come here every time we will come to Cluj-Napoca. It's so cozy, the staff is very kind, the rooms are very big and clean but what I love the most at this place is the view. Ohh, and what a view! How is it to wake up in the morning and see in front of you a big lake, a park and at 1-minute distance Iulius Mall. From here to the city center it's only 30 min by walk.

Advertised as a 3 star hotel, it felt more like a student dorm. 2x star would be adequate, with the mention that there's some teas variety in the room. Plus: parking, good location next to Iulius Mall; Minus - everything that would make it a 3 star: beds not comfy, cheap furniture with plastic flooring, very basic room.

Despite the newly completed property and nice amenities, ownership and management is absent and inconsiderate to guests' needs. There were wild parties when we stayed here, loud music and drunk guests on the balcony, but staff didn't intervene at all and no one was available to assist. When some of our friends stayed here the situation was the same, loud and beligerent guests yelling and partying until morning, with no staff close by to help. Seems like all the owners care about is making profit. Wouldn't recommend to anyone who wants to get a good night's sleep.

We stayed here for 1 night and it was fine. It is right beside a huge shopping centre so there is plenty of activity nearby. The car was safe in the free underground car park. Friendly staff that printed off our boarding passes.Apartment was clean. it is on the approach to the airport so plenty of planes passing overhead.Bedroom doors had to be left open for air con during the night. Bad smell rising from the drain on the toilet floor.

I had a big single room. The room was big enough, very clean, and suitable for short stay, as it was my case. The bathroom was also very clean, with everything you need. the room had also sleepers, which you would not expect from this type of hotel. The rooms had a fridge, but empty. There was a vending machine in the lobby. The service was very friendly. I shall return for sure in the future.

My partner and I stayed for two nights in Residence Il Lago at the beginning of July and I had no idea what to expect as I just found one of the cheapest hotels for cluj on booking.com and went for it. However, when we got there I was pleasantly surprised as the hotel looked brand new from the outside and I once we’d checked in I was so pleased with our room. Very modern and clean and it has a beautiful view of cluj and the lake opposite! (And the hotel is right next to a shopping centre). Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in cluj, it’s close to all the main attractions and is good value for money!

We stayed here mid-December and enjoyed it! There is an obvious effort for the visitor to feel welcome and comfortable. The guy at the front desk was super helpful and friendly, and the hotel is not far from the airport or the centre. Just note that it appears slightly wrong on Google maps...

Good hotel, clean, updated. Has air conditioning, free parking, elevator. It has a fridge in the room. Lake view. Last check in is at 22:00. Short walking distance to the mall, also to a seafood restaurant with terrace. Excellent stay. Would stay again. Thank you.
