Detailed Reviews
Just realised I didn’t review again so apologies for being late. And I like this place. I’ve stayed here three times now.
All the slight criticisms in people’s reviews are accurate. It’s not a shiny, newly done-up hotel in an international chain. But it does have a certain charm.
I don’t mind there being no lift....it helps that I travel light I guess...because if you’re opposite the lift in a shiny hotel when the latecomers come in at 2am then it’s not much fun.
Two minutes (it seems) in a taxi to anywhere in Cluj and I love the honest decor. It’s spotlessly clean, quiet, the staff are friendly and I’ll stay again.

We spent one night here as a sleepover during the business trip. The pictures of the rooms were much nicer than the room itself. Some stain spots here and there, but the bed was crispy clean. Some renovation would be necessary to make it one level higher. It is OK for a short stay.

The hotel has a very good location, close to the airport and the city center.... but that’s it.
Very big room but it looks like it is the same from 70’s. Even the room was huge the bathroom was small. The breakfast was average with not so big quality.

If I could, I would give it 10 stars. I felt at home. Impeccable service, very nice and tastefully arranged rooms. In fact, wherever you look around, you see only discipline, beautiful and clean. When I entered it, I really had the impression that I had entered a dream world, that cannot be described in words. Superb

Had to call the front desk manager as the safe and the fridge did not work. He was not very pleased to get drawn away from his facebook page on the office computer. He got things done - but surtently not with a smile. The fridge was broken again the next day, but we did not bother to call the front desk again.
Funny smell in the toilet...
Good location and ok rooms!

Overall the hotel is quite average and I would have given 3 to 4 stars just for the facilities. The room I had was spacious and at first glance ok. However when I took a close look in the bathroom the toilet brush was more brown than white. This is extremely disgusting. Cleaning staff also did not empty the trash , and I had the feeling the were mainly making the bed and the rest stayed pretty much the same. Staff was ok, but not really helpful.

Wonderful place the staff were excellent friendly and could not help us enough. The rooms were actually suites, very comfortable, period antique furniture. The restaurant and bar are inclusive and have an international menu and they are child friendly. There are also private dinning rooms for those who are having parties, meetings etc. It is only a 10 minute walk to the centre of town Union Square.

First I have to mention that I have already posted this review before, but for some reason is not on TripAdvisor anymore.
-We have booked a room for 2 nights for our wedding day. On the wedding day we wanted to take some pictures in the hotel, as we found it pretty nice
We have asked the front desk agent if we are allowed to take some pictures and she said that we may.
. It was a Sunday morning, no one was in the hotel at the time, but it still bothered the manager of the hotel, who addressed this in a very unpleasant way, by kicking us out of the small dinning area that we were taking pictures in. Moving forward, we took some pictures on the main hallway when he came again to almost yell at us that we are not allowed to take pictures in the hotel. A hotel manager should've never treat the guests as he did. We couldn't even know he is the manager, as he was not dressed accordingly.
Being told that this is not a proper way to treat some guests that are celebrating their wedding, the only reply he gave us was:"If you feel better, I apologize", on an ironic voice, of course.
We left the hotel with a very bad taste and for sure we would never come back to it.

Good location, good breakfast, excellent rooms (each room has a different style), a not so big but enough parkplace. In conclusion a very good quality/price rate, I think one of the best in town. Not much to say about the restaurant, it looks nice tough.

I stayed there only one night.
The reception staf very nice and very helpful.
The breakfast very poor, very few options to eat if you are on a no meat diet. I had very limited options. To tell you the true I almost starved. If I have known I would have preferred to search a restaurant in town that was serving breakfast. I would not recommend their breakfast if you are going to stay for a longer period in that hotel. It is no value for money.
The rooms are clean, but too small. The neighbourhood is quiet.
In my opinion: it is ok only for short stays.
