I decided to stay here because I really like the atmosphere of the Red October part of the city: this is a former chocolate factory turned into an arts/design/innovation hub. The hostel is actually located in one of the former factory buildings - hence the name - which is a nice detail. Everything else about it though? Meh. We reserved...

Better book 4 beds in the quadruple with a window. The double rooms have no window and are only 4qm in size. Way to expensive for this kind of cell. I am facing another night in there as all others are booked out. Evil

The place is located well and the price is reasonable (walking distance to some places and close to transport links), but the standards are quite low: cleanliness, staff professionalism, sometimes quite noisy, if you are fine with that, it could be ok

The website and photos for this place are deceiving. It's nowhere near as nice as it looks. It has the potential but felt more like a rundown homeless shelter! The bathrooms were the worst I've ever experienced and I've had some bad experiences in my time. They were filthy, no hot water and stunk of mildew and dampness. The whole...

Fabrika Hostel proved to be a great surprise for me. It is clean, perfectly located within few minutes walk to the Red Square, price is excellent and the staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I usually avoid hostels because they are noisy and mostly for young people, but Fabrika has private rooms too and it is the perfect location suited for...

Sorry to say that our stay at Fabrika proved to be quite unpleasant. You can't believe how noisy it was. Both the hostel and the neighborhood. Moreover, it was not clean at all. Not worth the price, in short. The only thing I enjoyed was the colorful art on the walls.

Upon arriving, we were informed that they had lost our reservation for a private double with private bathroom, even though I had a copy of the reservation proving that I'd already paid a 10% deposit on the room for two nights. In spite of that, they made me pay the full price for the room I booked, but gave us...
