The hotel is old but renovated, in April 2013 they were finishing the 4th floor. Large rooms, well furbished, nicely decorated bathroom. Good breakfast, not excellent but do not forget you are in Russia.

This place is clean and nearby the pedestrian walkway of arbat street which is filled with souvenir shops, restaurants and places to exchange money. Manageable walk to red square. Their subway system is so good every hotel is likely near a subway stop.
Consider this hotel only if you get a cheap deal and plan on spending no time in it. Unfortunately I have had to stay here 3 times, before I had the hotel taken off our Company's approve list.
