We booked the apartment with kitchen and expected a very old place because the price was quite cheap. However, we were surprised to find a big and quite new room. Pros: - Good continental breakfast with many options of food that change daily. - Near metro station (5-10 min walk) and not far from the city centre. It's also near...

Very clean spacious comfortable apartment, so-called "European-style renovation" which Russians like so much. Means fresh and new, comfortable and neutral in beige and wood colours. Well-equipped kitchen. Lovely traditional Russian cuisine breakfast - interesting for foreigners, comforting for Russians. Hotel itself is average. Lots of little stairs on your way from reception to elevator, no ramps - very annoying with...

Modern European hotel look and a descent location. Good value. Grocery store near by (1 block) and metro station about 4-5 blocks away. Has cash machine in the lobby. There is a resturant in the hotel and is small, but I never ate there.

This hotel is actually more of an apartment, very clean, comfortable, with very spacious rooms. Eat-in kitchen, laundry available in suite ( but not sure if laundry is available in every suite). Wide hallway leading to living room, nice hardwood floors. Balconies and windows created a cross breeze. A grocery store and metro within walking distance. Breakfast available, staff helpful.

The Volga is a small Muscovite apartment hotel situated in part of a Soviet-era apartment building running 12 stories high with up to 4 apartments on a floor. For the price of a room in a 3-star hotel you get a small soviet style apartment, just like they used to have in Moscow in the 70's: A large and spacious...

This hotel is a favorite of mine, comfortable rooms with a TV watching room, fridge, and american tv stations. We get the dual bedroom, and the couch fits an additional person. Elevators are small, so prepare! You have several stairs to climb before the elevators.

We stayed at the Volga at both ends of a 10 day trip. Our first room consisted of a bedroom and small sitting room with mini fridge. Breakfast was included. Our second room was larger and consisted of a bedroom and kitchen on a higher floor and a decent view. Breakfast was not included. Breakfast was not very good and...

Converted apartment buildings located within walking distance of three major metro stations. Quiet neighborhood with many good restaurants located within a few blocks, most with a english menu. There are two small food markets within a block if you opt to make use of the kitchens. Front-desk staff speak fairly good english. Hotel has two buildings and there are several...

I visited Moscow first time in Oct 2012. Stayed in this hotel which was great looking and quite close to my work place. Good living room, kitchenette and spacious bed room with all required things in place. The staff does not know English but can read and give directions. I asked for conversion from Japanese Yen to Ruble. The reception...

“Choose a room facing street side cause there's a constuction behind the hotel”

“If you order a room with two beds, make sure you check out the room first, as it took us three tries before they got it correct. The front desk is not friendly at all, but barring that, the rooms are nice, breakfast buffet is nice, and make sure you have a breakfast ticket.”

“Get a room with the bedroom on the parking lot side, the street side can get get a little noisy during the week!”
wfalconbury, 1 Feb 2013 | Read review
“All rooms are great and be careful, the room numbers and floors do not match. We three got 1037, 1025 and 1020 numbered rooms. But our floors were 11, 8 and 6 respectively. The correlation is pasted on the elevator.”
