We stayed five nights in this 1949 build hotel. It is an ikonic building next to the Mayakowskaja subway station. The rooms are clean and if you like carpets everything is ok. The location is a bit noisy as it is surrounded by busy Moscou traffic. If you close the window you almost hear nothing. We booked without breakfast because...

The Pekin Hotel is a centrally-located, historic hotel. The architecture of the building, Stalinist classicism, stands out, and there is no difficulty finding the place. The location of the hotel is excellent, just across the road from the Mayakovskaya metro station - one of the more beautiful of Moscow's metro stations - and only about 20 mins. walk along the...

This restaurant is well located in Moscow and it has a metro station just across the street that makes it very convenient. It is not a 5 star hotel and during my last visit the quality was down but they were already renovating it. In short don't expect too much but it's a good solution.

We had a wonderful stay in this grand old hotel. Staff were exceptional, room was very clean and extremely spacious, decked out in "yesteryear" fashion...we loved it! Breakfast was very good, with a lot of choice. One of the big bonus points is that it is located around 150m from the metro, which makes moving around Moscow a breeze, rather...

Stayed for business. The rooms were spacious and clean. Hotel was fairly good however street noise can be a problem for light sleepers. Breakfast was a bit over priced for the options given. Overall a good stay.

Great hotel - nice, spacious rooms and really friendly and helpful staff. The location was great - 100m from the metro which will easily take you anywhere. There are also hire bikes at the hotel that were for us included in the room price, which made travel around town really quick and easy.

Located nearby busy Garden Ring. Subway in walking distance - pretty close. Security guards look very strict - spoil impression of the hotel. Room - standard - was ok. Bathroom was so-so with issue in drainage in shower. Didn't take breakfast, so can't judge.

Rooms are nice and spacious. Bathrooms are modern and also quite large. The furniture is somewhat dated, but not so old that I see it as a negative. Nice spa on the 3rd floor. The location isn't right in the center, but not terribly far either. I would stay here again.

Staying in Presnensky

Neighbourhood Profile
Presnensky
The neighborhood is divided into two major halves by Krasnaya Presnya street: the southern part highlights Moscow city – businesses contained in skyscrapers along with the White House - where the Russian government works. The north is a bit more relaxed and casual, visitors here will find the Moscow zoo, National Centre for Contemporary Arts and a number of fine restaurants. The beautiful neo-gothic Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is usually packed with the events such as organ music concerts.
