Our room here was really nice and the kitchen was fantastic - the owner lives here, so everything is well maintained. The walls were a little thin (or perhaps we just had noisy guests next door!) and the blind didn't cover all of the window, but those are pretty minor gripes! Like all Russian hostels it was a warren to...

The hotel is rather difficult to find. Once you find it, you will encounter a very unfriendly security guard in the entrance to the building. The staff of the hotel speak basic english. The rooms of the hotel are comfortable despite the fact our heating was broken and was permanently turned on maximum. For what we paid, this hotel was...

I stayed w/ friends there in October 2014. It's a comfortable hostel in the center of Moscow. We liked it but there were some disadvantages. There are not enough as folks and spoons, no microwave and it was rather cold in a room. But all in all we r pleased:)

It was very nice and handy place to stay. Room was clean and cosy. Kitchen has a lot of equipment but no microwave. They have "no drinking alcoholic baverages" policy we had no idea about when we were comming, but it was not a problem for us.

Staying in a hostel can be a tricky if you want a clean, quiet, and respectable place, but this is it. I stayed in the "VIP" room which afforded a private bath and a larger accommodation, but friends stayed in the standard room, and both were great. It's located between several metro lines (about a 10 minute walk to either),...

A lovely hostel which has amazing facilities and is close to everything, red square and arbat street. From power showers, to hair dryers and comfortable beds. Very friendly staff and felt like a home away from home. Would recommend to everyone.

Boris is an awesome staff, the flat both cosy and clean, location is great. There is a room for every taste - I stayed in the private room and my only problem was that it was too warm at times )) Overall 5\5!

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were really lovely, the toilet and shower facilities were excellent and immaculately clean at all times. We were in a private room which was very spacious. The dorm rooms also seemed to be nice and big. It took about 20 - 25 mins to walk to red square. The street on which...

Staying in Arbat

Neighbourhood Profile
Arbat
Crowds of tourists, both local and international take in Old Arbat and its modern and gigantic peer – New Arbat. One reason visitors keep coming is no doubt Konstantin Melnikov’s famous private house, now open to the public and worthy of a visit. After exploring one of the oldest parts of Moscow, avoid the crowds and turn to the side streets and boulevards where calmness and affordable food is plentiful.
